Why it works

Well skarner needs AP and AD and attack speed. Trinity force has it all. Blade of the ruined king is my last item because skarner has his E and W to sustain himself in lane and in a fight. With the trinity forces you will end up with a ton of HP, AD, AP, Att speed and even 30% crit chance. You will also have around 480 movement speed :p
