Threats to Janna with this build
|Annie||High poke champs that out range Janna can cause lanes to be a struggle. Once you get ultimate in these lanes they get easier. Janna excels at peeling and defending. She does well against all in lanes and not so much in poke lanes.|
Laning phase can be pretty boring at times. Always try to shield the poke coming from the enemies. Use your shield on yourself when you are poking with aa. Use shield on adc when trading. If you are getting shoved use the shield on your turret to save damage. If shoving the enemy use the shield on adc for extra turret damage and make sure to aa the turret as much as possible for the free gold from spellthief's. Look to roam and keep wards up as much as possible.
Roam with your jungler and ward as much as possible. If you trust your adc to stay safe and farm up being out of lane can give your adc an experience advantage. Janna excels at counter engaging so look for opportunities to turn the enemy jungler's ganks around on them. You have a ton of mobility especially with mobility boots and captain. Use this advantage to out rotate your enemy and make plays on objectives. Remember to keep objectives warded. Especially dragon and baron when it spawns. Most teams rely on the support to ward so try to buy a pink on every back and to back when your wards time out or are cleared. Vision wins games so keep the wards up.
Late game/Team fights
Janna can be played a couple of ways depending on your play style and build path. Like I said earlier she excels at counter engaging and peeling. If you have a fed adc or are running with a hyper carry such as Jinx, Tristana, or Kog'Maw it is probably best to stay on the back line and peel for your carry as much as possible. If your carry is behind or is past its power spike and you have other fed carries such as your mid then focus on peeling for them. Keeping the fed person alive will almost always lead to a team fight win. The other way you can use Janna is generally when you have assassins or strong bruisers such as Irelia or Jax. Roam with them and use your team mobility to look for picks. You have a slow, knock up, and knock back. Don't be afraid to flash in front and ult someone back towards your team if they are in a bad position. Usually you want to have the more tanky build when trying to make these plays so that if you get caught you can get away. Janna excels at getting out of bad situations and getting team members out of bad situations.
Thank you for reading this guide. Mostly making this guide as a starting point. Plan on making more in the future, mostly on supports. It just seems that there aren't a lot of good support guides out there for players to reference, theory craft, and learn from. Please like and give feedback as to what you would like to see added to this guide. I enjoy supporting and theory crafting on the support role and appreciate any feedback I receive.
