nice aura items suggestions you're teammates will love traveling in a pack with you, Janna is to me like the Swiss Army Knife of Supports... as one of my friends says Howling Gale is the tool for it all, it damages, it knocks up, it interrupts and best of all it makes julian fries... Monsoon is ok but find it only really useful for escapes or breaking up a team fight that looks like we're on the losing end I rarely use it for the healing unless early game and they inited my carry at low health. Zepher I can't say enough about it is my favorite skill I can move smooth and quick. Than, when there's a runner with low health, Zepher is an easy pick off spell leaving no survivors. Eye of the Storm is the all time best skill of all time and I believe the only spell that can effect your own turrets and makes for an awesome turret holder while waiting for the team to show up... Now the group I run with loves it for early game take downs the extra bonus to attack and defense help out for an aggressive player something rarely seen at the time til Shyvanna was release.

I admit to being a gold ***** and try to get a PS first than give Eye of the Storm a kick in early game (before level 6) with Lucky Pick (sell off in late game) sometimes I do and sometimes I don't pick up HoG, depending on how smooth the game is going.

Very well explained guie on Janna and slightly similar to mine except that I don't build Archangel's Staff on her, but guess what? I think I will try this build with ARchangel's Staff. Your other items are nice, BUT I would build up Aegis far earlier or maybe add it to core items, because it will give most use to your team early game. :)
Also I think you will need at least 1 gold/10 because it will help your gold income. Just one is enough ;P

+1 for a nice and well explained guide. ^^

I did have a game the other day where we were behind from the beginning and I did not get the assist farm that I needed, which gave me poor items throughout the game. I will agree that in such situations it is not worth sticking to the core, and GP10 will have the best effect in order to catch up with the enemy team. However, when things are going well and you get the game that you want (even though you are not dominating), there really is no need for buying GP10 items unless you insist on going for Shureliya's Reverie for instance. There is no need to delay your core if - the same reason you would not buy it for a carry. A few games where I don't see the need for GP10:

I like the build, however since you're buildning Soul Shroud, you can start off with a Mana Manipulator if your lane mate uses mana and needs an extra boost of +7.2 mp5 to deal even more damage. I lane Janna with my friend sometimes, and the mp5 really helps him ;)

Actually, I was already thinking of testing it, but I'm not sure if it is worth it as you cannot bring wards or potions with it from start. Sure your lane mate will gain from it, but then you are much vulnerable to harass and are most likely forced back to base quite early. If your lane mate knows how to use his spells in moderation and not drain his mana completely the first few levels (which most people are used to as you rarely get on lane with a Mana Manipulator from beginning), then it is not that needed. So instead I was thinking that you could go with the 2x Faerie Charm and either 3x Health Potion or 1x Health Potion and 1x Sight Ward for good support, and then when it comes to the point when your lane partner really could use the mana aura, you return to base and get Boots and Mana Manipulator and additional wards.

Other than that it is a good guide with lots of explanations why you do the things you do.

I like it.

Good guide, good items, overall solid and detailed.
Getting gold/10 items is really a must, however, make sure you get at least one.

Hi, since I <3 Janna I decided to leave a comment on your nice guide :)

Skill Sequence: nothing to say, I agree to that.
Items:
- Deathfire Grasp! Best support item ever, instantly takes away 1/3 of the enemy's hp and your allies will have an easy time killing him. Also allows you to take my beloved Sorcerer's Shoes :)
- Rabadon's Deathcap! A real must-have on any AP based character, so also supports.
Masteries: fine :)
- gp/10 items are surely worth it, they have such low cost compared to what they give. Don't forget you get gold returned when you sell them, so actually they are great.
Runes: mp/5... *hate* Totally not worth it, I'd prefer AP or CDR runes. Also the health quints are marginal, I'd prefer magic pen or AP.

But, not bad at all, upvoted! :)
