Welcome, To my first guide created 4/13/12 please comment and tell me where should I improve on, I don't specialize in the English lenguage so there might be some misspellings here, please point them out, UPVOTE! Please comment, this will help me alot, Hope you enjoy.
YOU WILL be acused of trolling, this guide is not meant for ranked, this guide is meant to have fun with. I respect all of your opinions some of may you think this isn't serious at all and I respect that, but you should first try it out before judging this guide, Enjoy!

So many new things! i'll take a while updating.
The Goods :)
+One of the best farmers ingame.
+Capable of doing Massive Damage.
+The more the AP the stronger the shield.
+Fast like the wind.
The Bads :(
-Has only one heal.
-Difficult to aim tornados.
-Not a very good tank.
-Only 2 Damaging spells.
Terms you might want to understand & Fun Facts (Can be Skiped)
Most of these are used in the guide.
Stack - This word can be used in many different ways but always involves multiplying the effect of something.
Squishy – A champion is squishy if he/she is very easy to kill because of low max hp/armor or magic resisitance.
Spell vamp - Allows you to regain some of the damage you dealt with spells as health. Similar to lifesteal.
Skillshot – An ability which does not lock on to your target, and so you need to aim properly in order to hit an enemy, for example Howling Gale.
Push – To advance in lane towards the enemy nexus with the intention of destroying towers, inhibitors or the nexus.
Passive – An ability that has a more permanent effect.
OOM – Out of mana.
Nuke – Dealing a large amount of damage in a short time, also called burst.
Gank – To gank someone is usually to sneak up to someone with the intention of killing him.
AP - Ability Power
AD - Attack Damage
B - Back; when someone is told to b that person is being told to retreat.
CD - Cooldown. Refers to the number of seconds you have to wait before you can use an ability after you have just used it.
CC - Crowd Control; a set of debuffs, such as silence, blind, slow, stun, snare, etc. that limit movement or prevent a certain ability or autoattack from being used.
Fun Facts (Can be Skiped)
■ Her title was previously "The Avatar of Air". In some languages, she still retains this title, such as French ("L'avatar De L'air").
■ Janna's background story is possibly inspired from the character Storm from the X-Men franchise. Storm was a street child who lived off her wits and thievery, until discovering her own powers, which led to her being revered by her fellow citizens.
■ Janna is the only champion that can shield turrets.
■ Janna's dance is a reference to Dance Studio's choreography to Jazz-Funk. A side-by-side comparison can be seen here.
■ As of Patch V184.108.40.206, Janna gained a new voice actor and lines.
■ A video containing her old quotes before this change can be found here.
■ Janna received a new joke after her patch update. She begins to say one of her old quotes in her old voice, before coughing and apologizing in her new voice, saying she doesn't know what came over her.
■ Janna's second joke "Yes, it's true. For only $2.95 a minute, I will leave you breathless." is a reference to many television commercials for adult phone hotlines.
■ Janna shares a quote with Anivia, Cassiopeia, Kassadin, and Tryndamere: "As you wish."
■ Janna shares a quote with Teemo: "Swiftly".
■ Janna shares a quote with Galio: "By your command".
■ Janna shares a quote with Fiora and Malzahar: "At once".
■ Janna is one of the few champions that have had their voiceovers changed. Others are Anivia and Katarina.
■ Janna is one of the first champions to have her in-game model redone based off the Chinese Splash Art.
■ Classic Janna, both Chinese and American, shows marks on her shoulders. However, they are not seen on her in-game model.
■ Tempest Janna may be a reference to the character Storm from the X-Men franchise.
■ Frost Queen Janna is possibly a reference to Shiva, a summoned being from the Final Fantasy series, particularly her Final Fantasy IX appearance.
■ Janna is said to have tutored Karma in utilizing of her fans for battle.
■ Janna was once matched through Blitzcrank's dating service with the journalist Bob Nashahago. It is unknown if they intended to date one another, considering Nashahago had been dating Nidalee at the time.
■ In the Lore, Janna originally lived in the city-state of Zaun.
■ Pictures of Janna wearing lingerie were made public, much to her dismay. It is unknown if these pictures were taken professionally or without her permission, although it has been suggested that this was the work of an ex-boyfriend.
■ Janna has piloted the zeppelin, "Tailwind", and won a race during the annual Techmaturgical Conference as the representative of Piltover, defeating the Zaunite competitors aboard their flagship "Lead Zeppelin."

I preffer not to, but i recommend it for people who arent experienced in keeping mana up, or simply because they have no mana regen runes.
This is very good if you are mid, you will be ganked alot of times, and it can also be used to stalk their jungler, but i dont use it because I AM NOT A SUPPORT.
You can use this slow so it is almost impossible to them to escape a gank combined with janna's cc, i usually dont take this since Zephyr slows aswell, but its not a bad choice.
Float around with your 400+ speed Y U SO LAZY..
This is not necessary at all, you're a beast pusher >:O.
The boost this spell gives is not worth the space..
You are already very high speed.
You are not a jungler, playing jungle janna is a tough challenge, my best game with jungle janna was 1-0-7 This is not recommended AT ALL.
You barely die playing Janna and the time spent on death is worth the wait if you can substitute this spell with any of the good spells above.
Mark of Insight: I use these runes so i don't have to worry about Sorcerer's Shoes That much and i can just focus on Ionian Boots of Lucidity for the CD.
Glyph of Focus: MORE CD!
Greater Seal of ReplenishmentSeal of Replenishment: Her tornados can easily whipe out your mana since it can cost 150 mana at level 5, take these runes so you have more sustain on lane.
Quint of Potency: This gives a Huge boost early game.
Other good runes:
Quint of Swiftness: Janna has amazing speed thanks to her passive and to Zephyr's passive, these runes will give her even more speed, will probably go past the 450s.
Glyph of force: This is a good choice aswell, you will be stronger every level you gain.
My masteries will be 21/0/9.
This will give you a little more Ap and AD to get the kill once you ignite someone.
+4 Ap, This gives a decent boost.
4% CD is not bad, this will make you more agressive throughout the game.
10% magic pen. Big advantege against people with magic resist.
I will take only 2 points here for 1% extra damage.
This gives 1 Ap every level, maxes out at 18ap.
Increases Ap by 5%, this is a must in most Ap champion builds.
6% damage on targets below 40%, this will make you hit alot higher.
12 mana per level, this will help Janna alot since she tends to run OOM.
I take 1 point, is a little boost but the more speed Janna has the better.
3+ mana regen per 5 seconds looks like its insingnificant but this can really be usefull.
This is very important since Janna is very blue buff dependant, it makes it last 20% more.
Abilities/Sequence/Combo & More
Janna's passive, Increases the movement speed of all allied champions by 3%. The bonus is lost when Janna is dead.
~This is Possibily one of the best passive in games, its very usefull and noticeable.
Janna summons a mighty whirlwind, wich she can release to deal 60 / 85 / 110 / 135 / 160 / (+75 of ability power) +25 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (for each second it charges) magic damage to all targets in it's path, in addition to knocking them into the air for 0.8 seconds. The damage done and distance traveled by the whirlwind increases for each second it channels to a maxmum of 3.
~This is Janna's most effective Damage spells, the more time it charges the better, you can use this for when your enemy is recalling to base, send him a surprise tornado through the wall and pick up the kill.
Passive: Increases Janna's movement speed by 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16%, and allows her to move through units.
Active: Janna launches her elemental at the target dealing 60 / 115 / 170 / 225 / 280 (+80% of ability power) magic damage, and slowing their movement speed by 24 / 30 / 36 / 42 / 48 % for 4 seconds. Janna loses the passive benefir while Zephyr is on cooldown.
~This is why Janna is so good escaping and chasing enemies, at early game it will hit very very low, so i dont recomend to use it untill you have it level 3 +, using it early game will be a waste of its passive and mana.
Janna shields her target, absorbing 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 (+90% of ability power) damage and buffs them, increasing their attack damage by 14 / 23 / 32 / 41 / 50 for 5 seconds (can target turrets) or untill the shield is broken.
~Use this to avoid harrass and save teammates, this ability is better than Soraka's heal! the more AP you have the more damage it absorbs.
Janna knocks surrounding enemies back and channels healing winds, restoring 70 / 110 / 150 (+35 of ability power) health to nearby allies each second for 4 seconds.
~Her ultimate is a real game changer and escape mechanism, the more AP you have the more it heals, You can use this when there's a teamfight going on and your team agressive side ;P, flash in front of an enemy and use your ult and throw him in the middle is losing, find the best sport to start it off and heal your team. This also has an of your team, but make sure this enemy isn't Amumu or Galio XD.
I want to max out Howling Gale as fast as possible and then move on to Zephyr since these two are my only damaging spells.i usually put my deathfire on the first slot so i can type 1 instead of clicking on it. the combo sequence should be Deathfire Grasp> Howling Gale> Zephyr> Ignite> Zephyr a video will be uploaded here so you can see how the combo works. UPDATE: i finally did the combo video, watch carefully..It's a little laggy, sorry.

Here's a better example, I managed to surprise Fiddlesticks with my full burst flashing through a wall. It's funny to see other people reactions when you manage to do a kill like this lol.
Abilities that Janna can Negate:
Her Ult takes time to channel and gives you a good oportunity to negate it with Howling Gale or Monsoon if its too late get in the middle of the bullet and your teamate to save him, or simply shield him.
His Ult Teleports to his ally and shields him, it needs some time to channel, while this happens you can Howling Gale or Monsoon to prevent him from teleporting, the ally will still get his defence.
This ability is very difficult to negate but not impossible, in order to predict this you have to see where she is heading and if there's a wall nearby.
This is the best ability to cancel, but cancel ASAP since the more time he charges the more he hits, he will be standing in the same place for a good 8 seconds, easy!
His ult deals tons of AOE damage and you negating it can save your team the game, most fiddles hide while channeling and cant be negated, if this happens Monsoon away! :D i've trolled so many fiddles this way lmfao.
Creeping (anoying yet most important part of the game)
Killng minions is the next important thing after knowing how to play your champion, 15-17 minions=1 champion kill so this is 2-3 minion waves. DO NOT auto attack, I myself find it boring just standing there auto attacking, your wasting precious gold afterall.Untill you max your Howling Gale you wont 1 hit minions so you will have to basic last hit them, if you're having trouble last hiting them be sure to check out this guide.
Early game all you want to do is farm, this will be difficult because you're really weak a Kage's Lucky Pick will give you that 5 gold per 10 you need and it will also be a requirement for Deathfire Grasp and early Doran's Rings and Health Potions will help you survive the harrass since most people take advantage of you for being "Janna", it's actually beneficial to get harrassed sometimes because they will be too focused on harrasing and will forget to farm. If you're geting ganked too much buy wards. The rings are a requirement, janna spends lots of mana and is very squishy.
The sustain and ap:

At this point you should be clearing whole minion waves or barely killing them, here's where you really start to farm and can get fed real fast, I usually get Needlessly Large Rod but if you dont have enough for that yet get Blasting Wand since you will be an amazing pushe you can start taking risks such as ganking, make sure you're lane opponent has left to buy or to heal first. I almost forget to mention the best life saver for ability champions the Zhonya's Hourglass, you will be the first target in teamfights this is a must.
Da Big Phat Burst:
You should be a beast lategame if played well, people will start to take you as a serious threat, and what you want now is magic pen and more survival. Be sure to not get too cocky and ruin it, this is why sometimes i fail. Stay behind in teamfights and play safely offensive. If you're in one of those games and complete your full build, buy Oracle's Elixir and Elixir of Fortitude, Elixir of Brilliance.
Countering and tanking:
The last two items is up to you, since you are going to be focused in teamfights I tought Zhonya's Hourglass Active would be a perfect item for this situation, and if your opponent is anoying you by stacking MR grab a Void Staff and make him pay for it, If you still wish more survival item a Banshee's Veil is the way to go. Of course if you're really ahead on the game and you want to reach your max potential, replace your last two items for Archangel's Staff.
The build was remade because many of the comments on forum said that Lich Bane isn't so much help as geting plain AP.~Now that I think about it, its kinda true.
Never EVER leave out Deathfire Grasp This is your third damaging ability.
Other good item options are
I don't usually recommend this because it depends on how you play and who you're up against, but if you want to reach your max potencial grab this item early game it gives 160Ap and 15%Cd, it gives 8Ap per stack, but you lose a third of your stacks if you die.
Rylai's crystal scepter
This is one of the best choices, the extra health can really come in handy, it also slows anyone who get hitted by your Q or W, perfect to prevent them from escaping or chasing you, F**** OP. :)
Morello's evil tome
20% Cooldown and 75ability this is an amazing option if you want to spam your abilities, but only buy this if you are ahead in the game, This gives almost if not the same amount of Cooldown that Blue Buff gives.
Frozen heart gives good defence and mana, buy this if the other team has most AD. This also has an aura that slows attackspeed to enemies near you, This combined with your cc will make you super anoying. ;D
Athene's unholy grail
Newest item, it is very good since janna is very mana hungry I haven't tested this item out, ill see if can be added in the build. Update: 5/30/12 Tested, it is amazing! it's almost like having a permanent blue buff XD I was geting 76 mana regen, if you're not good with mana get this you won't regret it. This also gives 12% mana when you get a kill or assists and it also has a nice cooldown reduction.
These boots are not a bad choice, but I preffer the cooldown that Ionian Boots of Lucidity give, if you feel you need more armor pen get these boots instead, I recommend these boots on my "JUST AP" Build, since you just wana poke, not spam.

[1/5]Ashe is very squishy and depends on mana early game to harrass, she is very easy to fight aslong as she isn't fed, if shes fed..get away.
[1/5]It is very easy to dominate Ahri with Janna because Janna can simply stay out of sight of her skill shots, janna's only work in lane is to throw tornadoes at minion waves, she is also pretty squishy, and if she tries to harras shield your self.
[1/5] Shes not range so thats an advantege, she doesn't have a very good harrass, so yeah..
[1/5] Karthus is the one of the easiest of all to harrass, a simple Q will take out many of his HP and you can counter his Requiem with shield or Monsoon.
[2/5] Annie is pretty easy but she does significant damage, and her Pyromania will stun you.
[2/5]Morgana is not very tough once you hide behind minions and mantain her underfed, back away from her more once she hits level 6, her ult can destroy you easily along with her combo.
[2/5]He is pretty easy on most cases but if he is an experienced Ziggs that doesn't miss his Q you could have a bad time facing him.
[2/5]Personally one of my main champions, she does good harrass but tends to run out of mana very fast wich makes her vulnerable.
[2/5] She is one of the best harrassers, but not really a match since Janna plays from a distance.
[3/5]SHE XD can be a challenge if the one using it knows how to not miss his abilities and he can move quick, most of his users buy Doran's Shield wich has a good health regen.
[3/5]It depends, if he is Ap he can be very easy to beat but if he is AS it will be a little harder since some AS items have MR.
[3/5]Malzahar has good harrass along with silences and he can easily prevent you from escaping ganks with his Ult.
[3/5]Fiddlesticks is easy, however he has silences and a nice sustain wich can be very anoying.
[4/5]I think that this champion is OP XD she has amazing damage, silences and cc, if shes AP you're in trouble if shes support it can still be a challenge.
[4/5]He hits high and his barrels can reach big distances, he can also restore his mana and everytime he uses an ability he will restore a porcent of his health.
[4/5]OMG too much damage!
[4/5]Can put out many damage and teleport close to you, he has one ability that ignores minions and hits champions.
[4/5] Barely never misses her abilities if the player is good, this is the most anoying champion you could be against.
[5/5 Variates] His turrets will clear your minion wave and his Q reaches from very far away to do good damage.But some Heimer playes are bad placing turrets so that's why it variates.
[5/5] He can dodge your abilities and tower dive early game where you will be most vulnerable, he can also do massive damage, this is the fish from hell!! :(
[5/5]She the toughest champion you could face since she needs no mana and can easily reach you doing high damage.
These may variate, this is my opinion.
Why Sight Ward?
i know you chose the AP road but youre still a support for youre team and youre expected to act as such, but the only reason i Sight Ward is because i hate geting ganked, this will make me fall behind, to be a very good janna carry you have to have a high Cs (Creep Score)and the constant ganks will pretty much ruin you're game, i usually ward the bushes sorrounding me on mid, but to have more effectiveness choose the places where more please you at this map.
Here are the places i mostly ward:
Janna is my favorite support champion because you can really feel the help you do when you save somebody by throwing tornado at enemies chasing, or by standing around giving mana, defence, lifesteal, spell vamp..etc
How to be a support: one of the best rules and my favorite since i hate clicking is, you dont have to kill creeps, just leave your laning partner take the Cs (creep score) to feed him, BUT, WILL I FALL BEHING IF I DONT KILL MINIONS? you will have GP10( 5 gold per 10 items) wich will keep you ahead in gold and Awareness will give you the Xp you need to not fall behing on lvls.Also after you go back and buy if you have some spare gold less than 300 spend them all in wards and position them around how it says in the warding section above. All your mana will be used for shielding your laning partner and if necessary use your other abilities, do not farm. My support build is very tanky aswell, so you have a very good survival throughout the game.
Dont use your howling wind to farm, it's a waste of mana, leave the minions for the carry! use it only to save you teamates or to save yourself from a gank.
Positoning: Try to lane at bot with a range, or somebody who can carry, since you don't have to kill minions you can just hide on grass and intimidate enemies, you can also put a ward to see in their bush.. For example:
Other item options:If you're laning with somebody who doesn't need mana like Mordekaiser dont buy Mana Manipulator , just leave it for later.
Buy this instead of Will of the Ancients if most of your team is AD, This will be really helpfull, that way they wont have to focus on life steal and can just focus on damage.
If most of your team is ap and the other team is stacking magic resist buy this item, it will lower them 20 magic resist.
This item important for its passive that gives 15% cooldown and it has an amazing active wich can be used to escape or to chase enemies.
Locket of the iron solari
This gives 15 health regen. to close champions and it actives gives 50 and 10+ level defence it maxed 230 defence, i dont buy this because i dont think it is of much help, but if you like this items buy it.
Quint of Fortitude : This will make you very tanky early game, it will be very hard to take you down.
Glyph of Clarity : Ahh.. the much needed mana on Janna, this is very necessary.
Seal of Warding : Magic resist to avoid the harrass from ability champions.
Mark of Resilience : People will start to think you are more tank than support and will stop attacking you, this defence will fit in well.
Other good runes:
Quint of Avarice : If you are going for a more expensive build get this runes.
Quint of Swiftness : With these runes you can get back faster to your lane from warding or buying.
What to do in Teamfights
What to do in Teamfights
In teamfights you will be very usefull, if not the most usefull player, try to keep a safe distance, you will be targeted first because you have ALOT of damage output on tornados Howling Gale. Shield Eye Of The Storm your carry for that AD and damage absorb,throw tornados to fly away your enemies while your teammates damage them, if things get bad, flash in or if you're close, walk in the middle and use Monsoon, heal and turn the match around, it is very tricky to get a good position to Monsoon, it depends of experience and practice.
What not to do in teamfights
You should never be in the middle of a teamfight, keep a safe distance between enemies, on this picture it shows where not to be, always let the tank go in first and shield the one that's geting focused.
If you get in the middle of a teamfight and they target you, use Monsoon shield your self and leave as fast as you can, and if they deside to chase you use your Howling Gale or your Zephyr to slow them down. Or if you have Zhonya's Hourglass already use its active and become inmune to everything for a short period of time, this little time can really make a difference of who lives and die. In the next picture i get targeted and run away. XDD
