Introduction

This is my first ever build. And this is my way to play Jarvan IV.

I play Jarvan IV as a offtank dps. When im Jarvan i always open the teamfight. I throw my Demacian standard into the middel of the fight, and then i fire my dragonstrike to stun the enemies in my path. I then use cataclysm to stop enemies escaping. Also using Golden Aegis will slow enemies and can also help you survive.

When you play Jarvan, remember to farm minions, because you usually dont get that many kills. But, you do get assist, but they dont give much gold lategame.

When the game start i have one of my teammates come help me get the blue buff, that means i can harrash, and maybe get the firstblood in my lane.

Items

You might wonder why my build doesnt contain items that give a good amount of attack damage. Thats because, Jarvan's passive will alow him to hit his target for a bonus damage of 6/8/10% of his oppnents current health. This max out at 400 damage. This cannot ocour on the same target for 6 seconds.

These items also allow me to survive longer, and maybe get a few more kills and assist. And help my teammates survive, too.
I start off buying 5 health potions and a cloth Armor. I upgrade to Madreds's Razors and further to Wriggle's Lantern. Then i buy Boots of Speed and upgrade to Mercurys's Treads. I then either choose to build Randuins's Omen OR a Banshee's Veil. I then go for a Trinity Force and after i buy Atma's Impaler. Then i buy Warmog's Armor. As the last item you are going to buy, you need inventory space. So, sell you wriggle's Lantern and finish off with a Infinity Edge.

Team Work

Jarvan is a great helper to the team. If you are chased and one of your teamates is close to getting caught, you can trap the enemies with your ultimate and then throw your demacian standard out of the ring and then fire the dragonstrike towards it, to escape.

Summoner Spells

I take Dragonstrike at level 1 to alow me to deal alot of damage to minions and enemies in the first few minutes. I then take Demacian standard at level 2, to be able to stun and give my teammate some extra attackspeed.
