Introduction
Jarvan IV Spear of Damacia (Off-tank)
Welcome to my build/guide for Jarvan IV The Exemplar Of Demacia.
This build will focus on maxemizing your damage output as well as getting good survivabillety.
So if you are looking for a complete AD base Jarvan or a complete tank Jarvan then I suggest finding a different build.
- Strong solo laner
- Great damage output
- With this build not squishy
- Jarvan has cc
- Dragon Strike hits everyone in it's path
- Escape skills (needs practice)
- Anti-tank
Cons:
- Dragon Strike is a skill shot, so it needs practice
- Mana hungry (early)
- Cataclysm can be jumped out off with Flash and other teleport skils.
- Extra ArP is really good for Jarvan because your Dragon Strike reduces the armor of enemy champs.
Greater Seal of Resilience
- Your a off-tank so armor is always good
Greater Glyph of Warding
- The same reason why as above only it profides MR
Greater Quintessence of Desolation
- The more ArP the better
Skill rotation:
E-Q-W-R
First pop your Damacian Standard and Dragon Strike "trough" your enemy(s) then user your Golden Aegis and use your Cataclysm.
Never and I repeat NEVER use your Cataclysm on champs that can use some kind of teleport skill unless you can kill them with your Cataclysm (not recomended)
Make sure you know witch champ has a flash and better yet make sure they do not have it up.
The best thing you can do against someone using flash is harras them or strike them down so hard that they are forced to use flash before you use your Cataclysm on them.
Another thing is what i unfortunately see many Jarvans do is using there Cataclysm to accidently cage there own team and die in the process. DON'T DO THIS !
First you start of with 1 Long Sword and 1 Healthpot. You can either lane with someone or solo-lane (even better). If you lane with someone i suggest a support or a high burst damage dealer as this will give you a first blood on your lane on lvl 1.Exhaust-Dragon Strike-Healthpot-Autoattack-Dragon Strike) Your next item will be your Boots of Speed and another Long Sword and if you have gold enough you can even buy your Brutalizer.
Here comes te tricky part because it will depend on who your up against.
When you have 2 AP on your lane then i suggest first buying a Mercury's Tread and then finish your boots for the Ninja tabi otherwise build it straight away.
Mid game
Don't buy Ghostblade just yet because you will be running around with a debuff so finish up to the Avarice Blade as this will give you extra gold and you need the gold because items arn't cheap. Finish the Hexdrinker and buy a Giants Belt.
