Personally I use a mix between only attack damage and attack speed in runes. and in items as well really.
Greaves, 2x Bloodthirster, Phantom Dancer, Last Whisper and Infinity Edge in the end.
Really is rape-modeage :3

Beautiful buildddddd. I love it, haven't bought Jarvan, but after this I will. 14/2/13 the two deaths early game. I beat a Xin I WAS LIKE OMG. Jarvan does stupid damageee.

He's a little squishy at first, makes him a bit of a carry, but with the right play style it becomes a non-issue.

I play this build 10 times now .... and i can say it is very good !!! I change only 1 thing ... i take vampiric scepter in the begin of mid game :) Stats i've done with this build - 14/1/7 ; 18/6/17 ; 9/6/19 ; 5/1/7 ; 6/6/19 so i can say it is very good ! :) Thumbs up from me ! :)

I found that a pretty good magic resist item for him is Wit's End now that they changed it. I usually only get it with an AP heavy team, so I get Murc's Treads and Wit's End. That's usually enough MR for him.

why no1 buys madred's bloodrazor on jarvan?? Is so cool (early it can destroy most of enemy . I dealt to janna 1/3 of her health early when is was jungling(passive+dmg+4%madred's )

Try including an offtank (trinity tank) build... Jarvan is good for running in and causing havock... That's how I play him, and it's good for countering the current metagame if you put him in top, ap carry mid, an ad carry with a support bottom and jungle your tank... (note, this is to counter the NA "tanky dps" metagame... try reading dufftime's article on offtanks)

Solid build man, i changed a little bit about the item build up though, sword of the divine makes it seriously so nasty, not sure if you've considered trying to get that in your build but id like to see how it plays out for anyone else.

Wow, this is the best Jarvan build I've used yet.
