Hey, I've been playing Jarvan quite a lot lately and even though I don't get many kills nor a really good k/d ratio, I still do feel like I'm very useful to my team. I'm mainly playing him as a jungler, I sometimes solotop if noone else wants to do it. |

I see that everyone recommends 09/21/00 masteries (defense), I've tested it out on Irelia when she was F2P as well as on Gangplank and to be honest I really hated those, and that's why I'm actually playing jungle/solotop jarvan as 21/09/00. Can you tell me if this is sort of viable or if I'm doing something very wrong ? I've got a feeling this isnt too bad, but seeing guide writers recommending 09/21/00 every single time sort of makes me wonder whether I just need to get used to these defense masteries. Thanks in Advance, Nash Thanks for reading my guide! I figure most people just snag a look at the item builds before playing. Anyways, about your question, it's definitely viable to run 21/9/0 on Jarvan. Anyone who would insist upon only using any one set of masteries is somewhat dense and stubborn, and I think that as long as it feels right, any reasonable tree is viable. I've been using 21/9/0 myself sometimes too. Coupled with life steal quints and a doran's blade, it can be an excellent aggressive opening with (conditional) sustain. In your "A Note on Offtanking and Why It's Practical" section, you made a mistake. Well, kind of. You mention how stacking resistances isn't practical since the %damage mitigated decreases as you increase resistances. This is correct, but misleading. It is in fact the case that for every point of resistance a stat is increased, your effective health increases by a constant amount. Therefore, for a tank, or any champ for that matter, there is no "sweet spot." |

I just went 11/0/22 using the Tank build. Major props for the guide. Really detailed and specific. |

I really like your guide on how you can play him as both tank and offtank. However I did find a problem with your skill order for tank, you have 6 points for Dragon Strike and only 4 for Golden Aegis. Otherwise it's very well done, keep up the good work. |

Just wondering if a Sunfire cape would work? I mean extra armor/health and neat damage per second as an AOE |
