Introduction
Jax is a champion that can be played as AD AND AP,but I like to play him hybrid. AD is easily countered by items such as Thornmail and Frozen Heart. AP is easily countered by items such as Banshee's Veil and Force of Nature. It is harder to counter hybrid Jax because it would require the enemy to spend more gold making their damage much lower.
This is my first guide I have done. When you vote on my guide, please tell me how to improve it or why you voted my guide up/down.
Pros
- Leap Strike can be used to escape and as a gap closer.
- Counter Strike is great against other AD carries and also stuns.
- Hard to counter when going hybrid.
- Jax is a very easy champion to play.
- He is very fun to play.
Cons
- Relies on items
- If stunned while using Counter Strike,he won't have a stun until the next time he can use Counter Strike.
- Not very tanky.

Boots and three health potions are a good way to start out for me. After that, I try to get a Ninja Tabi and a Wriggle's Lantern. The Ninja Tabi are for armor, but Mercury's Treads work as well. The Wriggle's Lantern is mostly for its life steal. The next item I try to get is Guinsoo's Rageblade because it adds both AP and AD. I get Hextech Gunblade after for the same reason. After I get these, I get whatever helps the situation. I normally go with a Phantom Dancer and then a Guardian's Angel. I sometimes get a Thornmail or Banshee's Veil instead.
Summoner Spells I like to use for Jax are Flash, Ignite, Heal, and Cleanse.
Flash - Flash is a summoner spell that I always use because it can do many things. It can help you escape, help you get a kill, and also be used to get over walls.
Ignite - Ignite is another summoner spell that I normally use on Jax. It helps me secure a kill.
Heal - I only pick Heal once in awhile, but it helps in team fights and other situations.
Cleanse - I like to use this when the enemy has a lot of CC.

After getting one point into every skill, I max out Empower first. Empower is more worth it than Leap Strike in my opinion because it does almost the same amount of damage for last mana. It's cooldown is almost much lower. Then I max out Leap Strike before maxing out Counter Strike. Remember to level up Master-At-Arms at levels 6,11,and 16.
