Champ Info

It is seldom the case where a champion is defined by his actions after joining the League of Legends rather than before. Such is the case with Jax, for whom the argument could be made that he is the most prolific tournament fighter currently at the Institute of War. Before joining the League, Jax was an unremarkable soldier-for-hire. For reasons known only to the former leader of the League, High Councilor Reginald Ashram, Jax was put on the top of the list of candidates to receive a League Judgment - the interview process that either accepts or rejects a prospective champion. His Judgment was the quickest in League history, where the Doors of Acceptance glowed and slowly swung open as soon as it began. Jax faced no recorded Observation or Reflection during his Judgment.

Jax proved himself to be an immediate terror in the Fields of Justice. The self-proclaimed ''Armsmaster of the League'' rattled off a streak of consecutive wins that to this day has not been matched. A number of summoners in the League grew concerned that the perceived objectivity of the League of Legends would be questioned by the presence of an unknown fighter who was unbeatable. For this reason, the new leader of the League (following Reginald Ashram's disappearance), High Councilor Heyward Relivash, created special restrictions for Jax to fight under. This was something the League had never done before, and something that has never been done since. The burly fighter responded by imposing his own special conditions; as a means of protest, he permitted himself to fight using only a brass lamppost. Neither the League's sanctions nor his own has affected his winning ways. The League has since rescinded its sanctions, but Jax has not; he fights and fights well with his trusty brass lamppost.

''Be advised - there has been an outbreak of lamppost-shaped bruises in the League of Legends.'' - Gragas

Runes

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush

Runes. Tricky stuff! But it's all about your game play!
I use 9 because with that i can start of with 44.55 AP + 2.23 from mastery and you already have 46.78 AP! That's a good start!
9 gives you +20.25 ad. So u will be starting with about 90 AD.
9 of give you 18 armor penetration and 10.17 magic penetration plus what we have in the mastery is 28 armor penetration and 20.17 magic penetration! Nice right?? :)
And finally i use 3 for Attack Speed that will give you 10.2% to begin with.
That's all for the runes. I really like my to be fast and strong that's why i prefer these runes

Masteries

I think masteries should be very clear! if you want to make any changes go ahead! If i would change something i would change.... Never mind i would't change nothing!! :) I really like playing like that :)

Items

Well you don't have many options if you want to get Jax Hybrid. There are not that many items anyway for Hybrids.

You need to start with an item with armor and health regenation. Doran's Shield should be enough for a start.

As soon as you have enough money for Mercury's Treads go back to the base and get them. This will make you faster and will also offer you 35 tenacity with its very helpful if you are against enemy that have spells that crowd control!

If you have enough money for Vampiric Scepter get one now! That will help you gain some health when hitting minions especially every 3rd hit if you are at level 6.
Guinsoo's Rageblade this should be the next item in my opinion. It has good ad and ap and it also stacks up with Jax passive Relentless Assault. So that way you have more attack speed! It totals up to 46% attack speed! If you add 4% from the masteries you are 50% faster in the early game!

After i get Guinsoo's Rageblade i usually go for Hextech Gunblade and after that for Trinity Force. Now many people prefer to buy Trinity Force first and then proceed with other items. I don't do that. I like to start with the other two items Guinsoo's Rageblade and Hextech Gunblade because i get Spell Vamp, Life Steal, 75AD and 115AP. Trinity Force gives me 30AD 30AP and 30%attack speed and 15% Critical Strike 12% Movement Speed and health and mana. I know it's useful but if you combine the other two items with Guinsoo's Rageblade and Hextech Gunblade i would take the those two for sure! Besides it's up to you! This is a guide you don't have to follow every step if there is something that you disagree!

After you buy Trinity Forceyou are super fast and super strong! Now, i would proceed with Lich Bane. I know it doesn't stuck with Trinity Force and Sheen but it gives you extra Mana, 80AP 30 magic resist and extra 7% movement! Other people will go for Rabadon's Deathcap. It's a good choice but it makes you only AP stronger. It doesn't give you any armor or magic resist. And let's be honest, you will need the armor because you will be the first target in a team fight! You will need to learn when and how to use your "E" Skill!
Last Rylai's Crystal Scepter comes with 500 health 80AP and a descent Passive with slow!
Usually i don't even get to this point. Usually the game ends when i 'm at Trinity Force but even if you get to this point with these items you should be more than ready to kick ***! :)

After a comment, i changed the Trinity Force in to a Rabadon's Deathcap. It gives you a lot of AP thanks to its passive too. Now it's up to you if you want to use Trinity Force or Rabadon's Deathcap. Please do read next chapter for more details about Rabadon's Deathcap.

Secondary Items

Now, we have talked about the first items you should get. If at the beginning you think Jax need more mana regen, i usually take one Doran's Ring for that mana regen and extra AP. Its cheap and usefull at the beginning. I usually buy Doran's Ring after Doran's Shield. Health regen and armor comes first!

A very helpful item to get after Guinsoo's Rageblade is Rabadon's Deathcap, if you want to get full aggressive from the early game. It's very powerful and it has an extremely NICE passive for your AP. But there is something missing with Rabadon's Deathcap. No armor! I mean damage is really good but remember you will need armor as well in the game. Your ultimate should be enough but that doesn't work all the time :S

If you want to get him tanky you should go for Warmog's Armor. It gives you a descent amount of HP (920) and 30 Health regen. It also Caps at +350 Health and +10 Health regen. After getting a Warmog's Armor you should definitely go for Atma's Impaler. After the last patch the AD was decreased to 1.5% of your health but if you have 3000HP it gives you 45 AD and you have your armor from it (45) and 18% Critical Chance.

Now the boots. Sometimes if you prefer to be a bit faster, IF you need more attack speed i will go for Berserker's Greaves. I know i should go for Mercury's Treads but i am mad with speed. I love attack speed :) Besides with a descent life steal and armor you can survive if you are attacking fast because you are gaining health faster.

Skill Sequence

Well Leap Strike should be the first skill to pick. You can do 70dmg from far and that makes your enemies to fall back at least for a bit.
Now if you are solo top you should go for second skill Counter Strike. Its good when they are running afer you because of its dodging! You can save your life with that. You can also use it to stun the enemies close to you. Remember you can use it after 1 second of casting if you need it.
If you are not solo top take the Empower. I always use it with Leap Strike. It's like having 3 hit in 1 second! Give priority to Leap Strike and Empower. If you upgrade Counter Strike at level 1 you don't need to upgrade more until late game.
Jax ultimate is very useful. Every 3rd hit it does bonus damage 100/160/220 plus 70% of ap! And that is the passive. For the active you get a descent amount of armor and magic resist depending on your AD and AP. Use it wisely especially when you in danger!

Finish

That's all for the start. I hope i helped enough for getting an idea of how to use Jax. I will come back with more details, pictures and a video if i find a way to upload from LOL Replay in here.
