top lane - i really should update a lot of this **** into my guide, been too busy gettin MVP in dominion all day. heres a sneak peak. almost always run jax at top 4 real. in champ select assumin u playin draft pick or rank, c who u r likely up against and pick ur summoner spell based on tht. if u goin against sum1 u dont feel confident against n think u are goin 2 have to go back a lot. idealy if u do take tele and u are fightin some1 lame as hell like garen you can get a lil harass on him early and ask for a gank. before the gank tho u can maybe push minions so he cant see u tele back, B, buy whatever will help u bust him, tele back and gank his *** while u have full health n new items he prob hasnt even went back yet hopefully easy kill or atleast make him back give u sum free farm w/out havin sum noob ***** spinning on u everytime u try to get a last hit. not goin 2 lie tho tele be ****in my grind up a lot of times ill go try to harass before i B and tele bck so tht when i *** back he'll b a little low.. i always get busted tryin 2 do this, it sucks. but i think teleport duz have its place 4 jax. also like i said in guide its funny as hell later in game sum nigga will be backdoorin or sum **** u tele in to a minion out of his sight or ward and the 1 on 1 prince u already no wat happens next. btw i would take ignite out not exhaust, just bc i already have so much dmg w/out ignite. but ignite is nice a lot to get that early 1 v 1 kill, sht really helps out. if i no i got an easy top lane ill take this so i can just run my **** down their throat all game and B everytime i kill him without losing my turret or nething.
build / runes - not goin 2 lie i luv league of legends but i aint no gay nerd so 2 b honest i aint even think about sum of this **** til u sed sumthin. utility crossed my mind b4 i mite have tried it like once. i think overall u trading utility runes + dmg talents 4 dmg runes + utility talents? rite. its goin to even out pretty ok. this part of my build is pretty indefinite however, u said 2 drop defense and i would not reccomend that ****. extra dodge is always great, BUT the real thing u act like 10% after a dodge aint **** but tht **** will reall yhelp u out. a lot of times im about to bust ill see enemy minions inc so i run up to get the casters to attack me before they get on my minions, get a stun up, jump to the enemy, stun, kill. or if im chasin sum1 tht dodge is up a lot of the times and 10% movement very noticable. Overall i aint no math nerd but im goin 2 say i have my stun up about 69% of the entire game, so i thnk thts way better than 3% movement talent. dont really have a problem with cooldowns as is so tht **** aint really goin to help me. late game i try to have blue or a blue elixer for the cd ****. plus my blue runes. xp would be nice maybe u could try sum crazy *** hybrid build like 12 - 9 - 9. just made that **** up mite b pro as hell tho. get the xp bonus, gold bonus, dead bonus, dodge bonus x2, cd from offense, xtra dmg, improve ignite if u runnin that, improve tele if u runnin that. idk tho havin that last talent mite b too good.
bonus track - Another thing im goin 2 mention i aint put in my guide yet. i realize ninja tapei aint always wat u want 2 run. if they aint have a lot of auto attack champs it mite b better to run merc treads a lot of time if they ahve a lot of stuns n ****. stuns really b ****in my build up cuz u cant lifesteal while stunned. another reason losin the defense talents wld possibly hurt. if u losin that xtra dodge, plus get merc treads, idk u mite have a hard time gettin stuns up. i also need to rite sum fresh lyrics about jax if u got ne ideas holla back.

Other thing: Do you think the mastery page is optimized? With runes and mastery + items you get exactly 34% dodge. If you would leave out the defense mastery you would lose a tiny bit of armor/magic defense, 2% dodge (which is still a solid third of dodging attacks) and the 10% movement speed buff for 5 secs.
Without defense youw ould be able to go 11 offense, 19 utility.
I have been thinking alot about it.
First why not 21 in offense? I always hated LETHALITY on Jax. It a 100% usesless skill which cost 3 full points, just to get 4% more damage done.
If you cut it out and put 19 in utility you get 3% movement speed + 6% cd + 10% less dead.
Meaning your running buff already just is only 7% better theoretically and more important you can save up tons of IP and runes. Because you dont need those cd-runes anymore (9*0,65 = 5,85 cd) and u dont need the movement quints. By the way I love the fatser running aspect of tyour guide. Just ingenious.
So in the end u trade:
-6 magic resist
-2 armor
-2% dodge
- 4% damage
- 3 attack damage
- the 5 sec 10% faster run buff.
you get:
+ 10% less time dead
+ 6% cd
+ 3% movement speed
+5% exp (which i think is very good. combined with your less dead time, its alot of exp more for jax. Especially important in early game because he is rather weak during that period. Faster lvl up is quite a thing)
with the new bonus you can remove the cd runes + movement quints and put in somethign else I am not sure right now what :D
in case you trade the ignite summer skill for teleport you even have 1 more point left over to use.a
Please let me know what you think, what adivce you have for alternativ runes/quints, in case you liked the alteration. And let me know how to properly play solo top. I suck at it so far.

edit: there was one more thing i wanted to know more about. how comes you chose cd runes for jax anyways? is 5% really doing something here? Did you do the math on each ability and saw there is a significant change for the gameplay?
