As a starting item I'd take Cloth Armor + 5 Health Potion - especially you later use it for Madred's Razors. Probably you would like to take solo top and find 5hp pots superior to the regen of Doran's Shield.

Yes sometimes i do this but she is fully specced in offense so id like to have extra health just to soak it up, which i get from dorans shield.

In that case, maybe you should consider switching your Wit's End with a Malady to reduce the MR on hit.

I have tried using malady and wanted to differentiate that your madreds, even not the full razor, gives you tankyness that you need to get all your abilities in on people.

You stated well why you have chosen the Frozen Heart and this seems to be reasonable, however I hate to see myself paying for useless 500 mana. This item I'd switch to Randuin's Omen because of HP, HP regen and active slow.

Yes the randy's is nice and especialy the passive of being slowed on hit is good. I jsut choose frozen heart for constantly being able to outlast people and help my team from not getting cleaned up. Just preferable over the active of randuins to have a steady debuff on the enemy.

What I like about this build is using the Wit's End. Because of it's price it is IMHO superior to Trinity Force on Irelia in most builds. Also movement speed quints are so great for her :)

BUT ;)

I'd consider getting Greater Seal of Attack Speed instead of mana regen seals. Irelia does not lack mana that much and some attack speed would benefit her much more. I am not sure about Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction as well. I've tried it and Greater Glyph of Magic Resist works just fine for me, however this is debatable :P. My reasoning for chosing such runes is that Hiten Style does not consume a lot of mana and it's CD is pretty low...

Next, Boots before the Recurve Bow, Mercury's Treads after Wit's End - speed is your advantage, why not to rise it faster, especially it is not that expensive and you gain CC reduction + MR.

I'd also consider getting Madred's Bloodrazor later and switch it's order with Abyssal Mask as Madred's is pretty much a late game item, doing best while enemy's HP pool is high.

Overally, I like the guide, I find it to be quite a nice alternative when your team needs the secondary AP char. I'll come here now and then to see what people say about it. For now I don't know if it deserves +1 but for sure is too good to get -1 :P

Ok, this is interesting, but i've got a couple of things to point out.
First of all, you get your boots pretty late. Blodrazor+Wit's end have a total cost of 5800. Are you really gonna run around this long with lvl1 boots? Irelia really needs those Mercury's Treads to become almost CC-imune.
The second point is, MBR's passive deals magic damage. It will not deal 80damage to a 2000hp target because it will be reduced by Magic Resistance. Even the basic 30 RM which any champion has will reduce the damage by 23%.
In that case, maybe you should consider switching your Wit's End with a Malady to reduce the MR on hit.
You also mention a Spirit Visage as a great item due to heals from Hiten Style. Come on, hiten stile on max level restores 26 health per hit. [[spirit visage[[ increases that by 15% which is 3.9 health. On the other hand, of course, the MR, some extra HP and CDR are good for such a cheap items.

So, no vote for now.
