Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello everyone, welcome to my Jax guide! Now before I start I would like to say that although I play Jax this way I am not trying to say, 'YOU HAVE TO PLAY IT THIS WAY OR ELSE'. In this guide I will be going over how I play Jax. Before you rate this guide, please read it all. Thank you.

+No effective AoE
+Too many x's in his name
We get these marks because we don't build much Armor Pen. until atma's impaler.
We get these seals for extra survivability in the lane early on, the con with choosing this is that they fall off later game.
We get these glyphs for extra survivability early on and in late game. These will protect us from people like Vladimir in the lane and APC's later game.
We get these quintessences for more survivability, we need all this survivability because we don't pick up many defensive items in this build.
I think the masteries are pretty self explanatory.
I go 21/9/0 masteries, I picked up the Summoner's Insight because I take Teleport and it helps me with Teleport ganks. I went with 21 in offense for extra damage and lifesteal. The 9 in defense add more survivability to our build.
First off, we need Ninja Tabi for early survivability and movement.
Next we get Wriggle's Lantern for more survivability, lantern jumping, and more damage.
Now we get Trinity Force for massive damage and more survivability.
Now we get Hextech Gunblade for damage, spell vamp, and an awesome active which slows and does decent damage.
Finally we get Guinsoo's Rageblade, this item will synergize with your passive and make you the ultimate killing machine. This item gives you an effect similar to your passive and gives you decent AP.
Finally, we get our source of armor penetration, more importantly this item gives you more damage based on your health. It's an overall good defensive and offensive pick.
Now, we sell our Wriggle's Lantern for Rabadon's Deathcap which will make our Empower hit really hard and finish off this build.
This passive is what makes Jax the champion he is,it increases your attack speed with each swing and stacks to 6 stacks.
This is Jax's super escape and gap closer spell. I use this spell more for the utility but it still does some nice damage. Use this when initiating a fight or running from one. Additionally you can leap strike to wards you place *hint* wriggle's lattern.
This is what this guide was based around. Empower is the spell that makes you hit like a truck. Later in this guide I will explain how to use this spell most effectively.
Counter Strike is the spell that gives you the time to kill someone. This spell will help you escape by blocking autoattacks and then stunning the attacker. Also this spell will help you initiate a 1 on 1 fight with someone. Also this spell can stun the entire enemy team if positioned right.
Grandmaster's Might will win fights for you. This spell makes you really tanky and can bring you out of fights with barely any health remaining. Also this ultimate gives you an 'ult passive' which does tons of damage every 3 strikes which can be paired with Empower for massive damage.
You need this spell. Flash will save you over and over again. Flash will also net you kills.
Get it, enough said.
This spell is my preference and will get your team kills and help you split push. Also it can get you into fights quickly as well as returning you to lane fast.
This spell is good if you don't like Teleport or they have a massive regeneration fanatic like Dr.Mundo.
TROLOLOLOL! 'Nuff said.
First off, when you initiate a fight:
We need to start Counter Strike and make sure we are in Leap Strike range.
Next, we need to leap strike to the enemy and immediately hit Counter Strike again for the stun.
Now, after we are next to our opponent we want to autoattack once so that empower combos with our 'ult passive' (however if you can't pull off an autoattack than just use Empower)
Now we just need to keep hitting spells if we think we can get the kill.
Now, if the enemy tries to fight back after you initiate:
First, we need to follow the steps above.
Second off, we need to active our ultimate.
Now, we just need to try to pair our Empower with our 'ult passive' for burst damage into one.
Of course, whenever Leap Strike or Counter Strike are up we need to use them.
Now, if you get ganked:
Proceed to Leap Strike to the minions closest to your turret.
IF, you are fighting an enemy currently and you think you could kill them and get away, go for it!
If you don't have Leap Strike up than just try to run to the turret or juke them.
Of course, if you have flash use it.
When you are escaping you can activate Counter Strike to stun the attackers and continue running.
When ganking or having your jungle gank for you:
Leap Strike in and Counter Strike and continue to burst and use your ult judgmentally. Hopefully that sums up that.
Thank you for reading my Jax guide. I hope this guide has helped you in some way and would appreciate an upvote.
