Introduction
When I play Jayce I max my Q first regardless of which lane I go because of how much it offers to an early engagement, Not only does it do damage it's also a slow and an AOE in melee stance. In ranged stance it is a skill shot with average range but when used in combination with his acceleration gate it gains twice the range and damage. I max Jayce's E second because of the way it scales. In melee stance it is a knock back that deals increased damage based on the enemy health which makes jayce a great counter to champions like Singed and Volibear who have 4000+ health at the end of the game. In Ranged stance it is a gate the gives you and your team increased movement speed and If your q is shot through it, it does increased damage. I max his W last because it doesn't much besides the utility of regening mana per auto attack in melee form. In Ranged form it is more useful giving 3 quick shots that can help you life steal in close situations.
As Jayce you want to be first one into the fight and last one out, Taking the brunt of the damage and coming out with full health and 5 kills. When you see a Jayce lock in he has now designated himself as the team captain and the person to lead the charge. Enjoy Knocking the enemy team across the map into your nexus and getting a penta :).
