Introduction

....................
Hello! everyone this is Ahmed and welcome to my new Jayce guide. I want this guide to be a resource to help players learn more about Jayce and improve their skills with him. I know this is my first time to create a guide to a champion but i really love playing Jayce and he is my most played champion in ranked. A Short Overview about him:

Jayce is an AD bruiser, Fighter, Melee, Ranged. He has strong poke damage with his combination of Acceleration Gate and Shock Blast. Because he's focused on doing more damage,it is critical for him to get Trinity Force, The Black Cleaver and The Bloodthirster because is these are his damage dealing items. Since he's mainly played as an AD bruiser, it's also helpful to add to your build a Guardian Angel and some tankiness. Especially in very late game, Guardian Angel is a game changing item. Furthermore, Jayce doesn't really have to rely on basic attacks to do heavy damage, he can simply rely on his abilities to do a well-round good amount of damage. Also, Jayce can be played mid lane you will face some APC champion so you need items like Maw of Malmortius for the magic resistance and shield benefit also you could buy Iceborn Gauntlet for the full cooldown and armor benefit and for mana sustain. Sometimes Jayce play jungle, i know that some people don't like jungle Jayce but he adds to his ganks many varieties of damage by his ranged, speed, slowing effects & knockback which if combined will it can be lead to many kills and he has the ability to clear jungle fast. Sometimes Jayce play ADC, i know that its rare to find people playing him ADC but Jayce can really carry the team and make a perfect ADC to the team, he has a good range from his basic attack and skills so why not playing him ADC.

Offense Tree
If you are playing Jayce, most of the time you are going to be playing him for his damage, poke, and utility. The best way to make the most of his damage is to go down the Offense Tree. This tree will center around giving you kill power, which you will need throughout the game.

Defensive Tree
The Defensive Tree is useful for lane trades and if invested in can be useful later in the game against the enemy damage dealers and champions who would want to CC you but putting more points into Offence is the better option as Jayce is mostly a damage dealing champion.

Utility Tree
I do recommend putting points in the Utility Tree on Jayce. As putting more points in Utility will give you sustain and the mana you need in lane harass.

Runes

Runes

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
3

Greater Mark of Attack Damage
9

Greater Seal of Armor
9

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
8

Greater Glyph of Attack Damage
1
Marks:
I choose to go 9x Greater Mark of Attack Damage, Why? because Jayce has bad Attack Damage at level 1 and having these will help you harass your opponent and deal more damage with your Skills and range attacks. If you want to change it, you can change to 9x Greater Mark of Armor penetration if you are against heavy tank champions Example: Garen, Cho'Gath, Riven & Malphite.

Seals:
I choose to go 9x Greater Seal of Armor, Why? because if you go top, armor will help you withstand against AD bruiser and assassins. Also makes you tanky at early game and is useful for lane trades.

Glyphs:
I choose to go 8x Greater Glyph of Magic Resist & 1x Greater Glyph of Attack Damage, Why? because you need magic resistance if go against an AP champion and why flat not per level? because you usually needs the magic resistance in early game and if you need more you can buy Mercury's Treads, the magic resistance per level is usually good for junglers. Why 1x Greater Glyph of Attack Damage? because it gives you one bonus attack damage at early game from (15->16) and you could need it but you are free to go with 9x Greater Glyph of Magic Resist if you want to, it's your choice.

Quintessence:
I choose to go 3x Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage, Why? because 3x Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage with the 9x Greater Mark of Attack Damage & 1x Greater Glyph of Attack Damage lead to +16 Attack Damage , and that will help your early game in Critical Striking and harassing.

Ward Coverage & The Superman Leash

That is for Blue Team which is on the right, for the Purple Team will be the opposite.

The Superman Leash helps your jungler or i mean Jayce in jungle if you can let your mid player do it this will help you in clearing jungle more faster without receiving damage from jungle monsters.

Summary

Well this is my guide on Jayce. Jayce is a really fun champion with a high skill ceiling, so I doubt we will be seeing any master on Jayce for a little while. The things you can do if you learn him are pretty crazy. Jayce has a way to adapt to every situation, that is fun and very unique.I hope you enjoyed my style of playing him and learned a lot about the champion himself.
