Introduction

Ezreal - AD Carry Bot Lane

Why should I play Ezreal?
- Despite all the nerfs, Ezreal is still a really strong carry and can do most things better than other carries. He has an attack speed buff, built in cooldown reduction, a built in blink, and a global ultimate to snipe those kills that barely get away (or are across the map) or you can farm a lane from afar with it. Also, he is one of the best ad carries at kiting especially, once you get your Phage/Trinity Force.

Runes

I pretty much always go with all attack damage. They make last hitting easier and give better damage until you get items.

3 x Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
9 x Greater Marks of Attack Damage
9 x Greater Seals of Armor
9 x Greater Glyphs of Magic Resist

Summoner Spells

Flash
Flash helps you escape from those pesky ganks and get those yummy kills that run a little to fast.

Ignite
Ignite helps to secure kills and is effective against champions with high health regen or healing abilities.
_____
Exhaustsize=64
Exhaust
Exhaust is sometimes useful as an alternative to Ignite. It can help you win trades or CC champions trying to dive or gank you.

Cleanse
When going against teams with a whole lot of CC this comes in handy.

You want to max Q first because of its range and its high AD scaling. Also, it has a low mana cost so its good to use to proc your passive. Also, it reduces the cooldowns of all other spells including your ultimate. Next, put one point into your W for increased harass potential but then leave just 1 point in it until last. Now that it no longer reduces the attack speed of enemies it is not as useful as it once was. Your E is the second skill you want to max so you can reposition in fights and escape when needed. Finally, whenever you can put a point into your ultimate.

Items

Even now that it is Season 3, I always start with Boots and 3 health pots. On my first back I try to get a vamp scepter so I can get away with buying fewer health pots after that. The rest of the build is kind of malleable... If you need more attack speed build the zeal first. However, Brutalizer is a GREAT early game item and it builds into Black Cleaver, which is pretty much broken OP right now. Finish your Trinity Force and then, build your last couple items. If you need more single target damage you can substitute Infinity Edge in for an item of your chosing (probably Hurricane but possibly the BloodThirster or I know many people don't like Trinity Force on Ezreal but in solo queue having a slow really helps sometimes). And Guardian Angel is probably the best defensive item for carries (I only wish it gave you some health for defense against True Damage) and a second life never hurts.

Using your abilities

Use your Q to harass whenever you can land it without a minion tanking the damage. A quick Q > W can land both skillshots if you do them fast enough at an enemy. If at all possible, stay behind your castor minions so that they can tank incoming skillshots and such for you. Once you have poked your enemy down to the point you know you can kill them without retaliation use your E to blink in Q > W > Ignite and autoattack until they are dead. If they manage to run with health left try to aim your ultimate to the point they are running to. Don't aim directly at them you have to lead them a bit as your ultimate has a bit of a windup and a pretty slow travel speed.

Synergies and Counters

Supports

Ezreal is good with almost any support who is played properly. He has the

Soraka- can keep you healed up and topped of with mana so you can farm and poke all day long. Also, the magic resist you get from her can help against opponents damage.

Sona- She has almost as much poke as you do and has many abilities to help Ezreal. She can heal and increase damage for trades and she can increase your movement speed to help with evading ganks, kiting, and chasing kills. Her ultimate stuns which can help land you a kill or if she catches a group with it can help you to land your ultimate on more people.

Taric- gives you armor and heals. He has a long range stun to initiate trades or save you from ganks. Not to mention they make the MOST FABOULOUS LANE EVER.

Blitzcrank- I will mention that Blitz can poke also and if he lands a grab it can be an easy first blood but the real reason I mention him is that as an enemy support he is scary but an ezreal can use his e to blink out of Blitz's fist if he lands a grab.

Others work well also and I will attempt to add more in time....
