Introduction

Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting my guide here. Today, we'll be diving into the tomes of knowledge for the champion "Amumu - the Sad Mummy". In this guide, I plan to explain how to be an efficient jungler, which entails proper ganks, team fights, and knowing what you're capable of.

Basic Things You Should Know

Warding isn't only the support's job. You can greatly increase your team's lifespan by assisting in warding around the map. Let your support take care of the basic lane wards, and the river ward for Dragon. Make sure to ward key points in their jungle, and maybe, if you're feeling generous, just ward some lanes for your teammates. Even if they say "thank you" or not, I'm sure they'll be appreciative of what you've done for them.

Pros:
Great ganks.
Fast jungle.
Decent amount of hard CC.
% based damage AoE.
Doesn't need kills to be effective.
Gets them anyway.
Can give up blue after you get philo.
Team can Baron as soon as you get Aegis. (Proven fact, our earliest baron was like 15:30)

Cons:
Easily counter-jungled.
When you get countered, you're behind for the rest of the game.
Doesn't pick up til mid-game.
Has 99 problems early game, and they're all mana related.
No friends.
Never invited to parties.
Always wants a hug.
No legendary skin (Riot doesn't give him enough threads, get on it)

Runes

Now I know it seems odd, and I was skeptic at first too, but the Avarice quints have honestly paid off more than health quints. It's a pretty basic setup otherwise.

Masteries

0/21/9. All the way. I've often thought about subbing in the reducing incoming damage, or increasing the move speed. But you can adjust as you feel needed. Play to what you're comfortable with.

Items

If heavier ap, I always consider swapping out frozen heart for FoN.

Skill Sequence

Pretty standard for an Amumu. I take w first in the beginning because E isn't as useful when the little minions die.

Summoner Spells

Exhaust works just as well as flash, but flash provides the utility of allowing you to miss the bandage toss.

Summary

All in all, jungle Amumu has been a pretty "free-elo" standard for me. If I need a win, he's my go-to if I'm hurting for a morale boost. He pairs well with other AoE stun champs like Annie and Sona. Learning him takes time, getting good with him takes work. Success? Well, that's all up to luck. Let's just hope you don't end up as a mummy in the end. Here's to you, and best of luck to you all.
