Abit Mr and Armor
Threats to Ivern with this build
I am Malkavian and this is my Ivern Jungle Guide. First you can watch videos below to decide if you wanna stay and read more or not.
Terms you might see while reading my guide:
AS: Attack Speed
AD: Attack Damage
AP: Ability Power
MS: Movement Speed
MR: Magic Resist
AR: Armor (Easy one)
aa: Auto Attack
CJ: Counter Jungle
Blue : 9x Ability Power (You can use Magic Resist if you feel unconfortable )
Yellow: 9x Armor (You can use scaling ones if you wanna safe farm until you get some items)
Red: 9x Hybrid Penetration (since your most damage is from your (W) Skill
Q: 3x Attack Speed. ( To attack more when you have (W) buff
Masteries are common assassin/mage jungler masteries. Designed for efficient ganks. Since jungle clear is not even problem with Ivern. You jsut have to keep an eye on your hp bar.
You can build Ivern very different ways but I tried it with AS/AP build and it worked like a charm
Hextech Gunblade Core Item for this build. Since your (W) skill gives you bonus AP damage by building this you will be like lifesteal assassins but you will be able to hit enemies ranged.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter Since your attacks deal Magic damage with your (W) skill Rylai makes your target slowed all the time. which is useful to damage more with an AS build.
Nashor's Tooth This item is also essencial with rylai's slow effect you can deal bonus damage from your (W) and bonus ap damage from this item's passive = tons of damage.
Spirit Visage You can buy this if enemy has many ap champions and you can increase your self heal too.
If you feel like enemy focusing you alot buy Guardian Angel
USe your (Q) skill to grab enemies.
USe your (W) to hide and make your attacks even more deadlier.
Keep auto attacking and if enemies decide to attack you use your (E)
(R) is basicly works like Tibbers release it on teamfights to do extra damage.
PS: you can use your (E) to Daisy (your Pet)
Passive: Friend of the Forest
Ivern loves jungle monsters and would never harm them. Instead, he sets them free! Clicking on any jungle camp creates a grove using some of Ivern's health and mana. The grove matures over time; when fully grown it can be clicked on again to free the camp's denizens, granting Ivern gold and XP. Smiting a camp with a grove on it instantly sends the monsters to safety.
After level five, the Green Father creates copies of the red and blue buff whenever he frees the Red Brambleback or Blue Sentinel—they'll leave behind a sapling which can be picked up by allies.
Ivern shoots out a ropey root that deals magic damage and (as you'd expect) roots the first enemy it hits. Allies who use a basic attack on the rooted target will automatically dash to get within attack range.
Passive: When hiding in brush, Ivern's basic attacks have increased magic damage and range. This effect lasts for a couple seconds after Ivern leaves the brush.
Active: Ivern creates a patch of brush, temporarily revealing the area around it. The amount of brush created is slightly greater if it's placed near a wall or any other brush. The Green Father's grassy patches disappear on their own after a moderate delay.
Ivern places a protective seed onto his ally, granting them a shield. After a short delay the seed explodes, damaging and slowing all nearby enemies.
Ivern summons Daisy, an enormous sentinel who loves hugs. Daisy scampers around joyfully, knocking up Ivern's target after a few hits. Ivern can recast this ability to direct his boisterous friend toward new targets. She'll hang around until her hankering for hugs has been satisfied, or until her health bar is depleted.
After lvl 5-6 when you clear your red/blue buff another player from your team can also take the buff. So use it Wisely.
So go ahead and steal enemy buffs at the start since it takes 1 second or so.
Then fully clear you jungle but while doin that make sure you have enough hp to face enemy counter junglers like, kha, lee, shaco, eve, etc.
In teamfights create as many bushes as you can and summon daisy on your opponents, while you are damaging them ranged. Also use your (E) shield on focused teammate to maximise your damage done.
Best build so far I tried for Ranked Games is this imo.
Pros / Cons
-Amazingly fast jungle clear and counter jungle abilities
-Can create bush to anywhere
-Can summon Daisy!
-Can solo Baron/Dragon etc.
-After lvl 6 when you get red/blue buff another teammate also gets them.
-His cc is not that great.
-Can be easily kited
-Loses alot of hp to clear jungle in early stage.
General Jungle Guide
THIS PART IS COPY PASTED FROM MY OTHER GUIDES IT IS FOR GENERAL JUNGLE KNOWLEDGE NOT for IVERN!!! IGNORE IT IF YOU DONT WANNA READ
This guide is for jungling. First of all you have 2 choice to begin with. Blue side or Red Side. Each side has several benefits so I will try to explain as much as I can.
1- Blue Side Start: Route should be Gromp-> Blue Golems->Wolves->Gank mid/top -> If you have enough HP go get red (if your enemy has a jungler who can steal your red)
Benefits: It allows you to get Gromp buff which means faster jungle clearance for tanky junglers ( ie. Rammus,Zac) It allows you to get blue buff which means free ganks and more skill spam. Especially good for Evelyn, Amumu, Diana, Fiddlesticks since they need blue buff more than anything in jungle
Down Sides: Makes you lose HP more, you cant kill crab that easy (he is slippery and fast :) ) ganks will be weak without red buff, bad for sustain, makes you lose extra pot if you are not using a Lifesteal/shield champion
2- Red Side Start: I personally try to start from red side no matter what.
Route Golems(smite)->Birds (kill small ones first)->Crab (for sustain/cooldowns)->Red Buff (smite)->gank mid/bot lane
Benefits: With golem start you get stun buff for every 5 attacks which is great for AS junglers. After you get red buff ganks will be easier and easier to force your enemies to flash. Red Side Start allows you to punish early agressive enemy bot laners (almost none of them wards river in first 4 mins)
Down Sides: If you are mana based champion like Fiddlesticks you have to return base, If you have no aoe damage it takes slightly more time than clearing Blue side jungle.
How to be a Better Jungler:
As a jungler your most important job is being awere of map! Means you gotta keep track of enemy cooldowns (flash/ulti/TP) You gotta know when Dragon/Baron Spawns ( Easy with new patch you always see the cooldown but you gotta remind your teammates when Dragon or Baron will spawn cause they are busy with dealing farming/enemy harrass/ jungler ganks)
Always ping as soon as you decided to gank a lane. If you pinged a lane to gank dont try to abandon it unless you see a good opportunitiy.
Always buy pink ward and place it between top and mid. (yes that is yoru job!) So your top and mid laner might save themselves from 1-2 enemy jungler ganks which is good for you. Enemy jungler will lose time and buy sweeper (if you want to Counter Jungle) Always try to smite Birds for the vision buff and clear the wards around the map
Always choose a jungle path which gives you gank opportunities faster. For example: If you feel like enemy top laner will push ( Riven, Irelia, Vlad always pushes lanes :) ) then start with wolves go for gromp then take blue and you can good to gank top lane when it is pushed. But if you start gromp then go blue then you try to kill wolves you lose time to walk back to top lane.
Be efficient with you time. Do not waste time walking mid lane if your mid lane is pushed. Go farm mobs when all lanes are pushed. Also ganking top lane is always tricky after lvl 6 , DO not camp top unless you see neemy jungler close to their top lane, cause if you camp top enemy jungler can easily take drag.
Try to help lanes that has disadvantage in lane (Irelia vs Ryze/Vlad) ranged vs melee match ups are tough. So help your poor Irelia :) Dont forget that your team as strong as your weakest lane.
Hope you enjoyed the guide. If you have any questions please leave a comment.
Have fun on your games!
