Pros/Cons

Pros:
-One of the best gankers due to Q, W, E combo.
-Good chaser
-Good jungler and also fast jungler.
-Spellshield is awesome when ganking.
-Every spell can be used offensively and defensively.
-Awesome ulti.

Cons:
-Early game squishy.
-Needs farm/kills/assists early to be effective.
-Spamming abilities hurt, keep that in mind.

Runes

I take Greater Mark of Alacrity because for faster jungling(desolation is slower, but is better late game, personal preference)
Greater Seal of Resillience are pretty much needed for a succesful jungle, so nothing spectacular there.
Greater Glyph of Shielding not very common, but is good late game and after u get out of the jungle.
Greater Quintessence of Desolation are imo the best choice on Nocturne, although some might consider flat HP better for jungling.

Masteries

I go 8/12/10 for one certain reason and that is that this is not a full damage build. Why? Because going resistance on any melee is pretty much needed to substain a long game. Maybe Tryndamere is the only one u can go full DPS due to his ultimate. And again personal preference on item build. And i like having some Armor and Magic Resist and still doing some decent damage!

Abilities

Umbra Blades is one of the best passives to jungle with, every 10 secs u heal urself depending on how many enemies u hit and the heal is flat hp. The more Attack Speed you get the more this passive procs(everytime nocturne hits an enemy the cooldown is reduced by 1 sec.) Also it deals 120% damage on all enemy units.

Duskbringer is an awesome gank/chase/escape tool and jungling ability. Increased movement speed and attack damage when u stand on the black trail. And hitting enemy units will attach the trail to them and then leave it behind them when they move around.

Shroud Of Darkness passively increases Nocturne's Attack Speed. Upon activation Nocturne creates a shield around himself that will block the next spell that hits him. The shield is active for 2 seconds and if Nocturne succesfully blocks a spell his Attack Speed is increased further, doubling the passive effect for a short time. This spell is similar to Sivir's spellshield and Banshee's Veil.

Unspeakable Horror is a delayed fear that deals magic damage over 2 seconds. If the target gets out of the range it won't get feared so stay close to your target and Duskbringer should help u do that.

Paranoia is Nocturne's ultimate and is one of the best ganking tools in the game. It removes all ally vision of the enemies and Nocturne can launch himself to an enemy champion and deal physical damage.

Summoner Spells

I take Flash for the simple reason that there's so much can do with it. Escape over walls and chase over walls. It's imo the best summoner spell. You have enough movement speed with Youmuu's Ghostblade and Duskbringer. And ofc Smite is pretty much needed for any jungler, it's safe and jungling goes faster with it.
And I always take one defensive spell, at least one. So when I jungle I will always take Flash.

Jungle Route

This is the jungle route i use and it's fast too.
1. Start at Blue Golem, use Duskbringer whenever you can. Pop 1 Health Potion here and smite it when it's at 500 hp.
2.Use Duskbringer and 1 health potion here. And u should have Shroud of Darkness by now. Try to hit them all with Duskbringer.
3.Use Duskbringer, pop 1 Health Potion and attack the big wraith and the rest following.
4.Head over to Golem camp and use Duskbringer on them both and start attacking. Use 1 Health Potion here too.
5.Go to Lizard Camp and use Duskbringer and hit all creeps with it. Use your final Health Potion and smite when it's around 600 hp.

You should be lvl 4 by now and have 1 point into Unspeakable Horror. From now on you should be in gank-mode and always look for a gank. No gank available? Steal their buffs, but do with care. Any champion from the other team can interrupt you so be careful when heading into their jungle.
