Ill try to make this guide as simple as i can to make very easy to understand. Olaf one of the new champion to League of Legends comes with several abilities that allow him to played in many different styles. Although many believe tank Olaf is far superior the fact that the items required to get Warmogs and the other tanks items require to be expressively feed which is not likely early game because with the set skills Olaf is given make him the perfect jungler possibly and most likely better than WW in my opinion. We start this game with the basic cloth armor + 5hp pots and summoner spells smite and ignite.Although many decide to go with the regrowth pendant i do not because as your jungling its more efficient to buy cloth armor and 5 pots so that later once you reach 700 gold you can purchase Madreds Razor.
As for the summoner spells iv noticed that even with ghost Olaf is very unlikely to easily escape a teamfight without being stunned/slowed and ignite is used to help for early game ganks because without phage/frozenmallet the dps that Olaf does get in as he is focusing a target will quickly drop as the target runs away even with undertow at lvl 1 which you could get it would still be so miniscule that it would still end with the same outcome so ignite is used to finish off the escaping little buggers who mash ghost and run away when there about to die.Now back on topic with Madreds Razor equipped it shortens your time needed to kill monsters in the jungle because with Madreds passive they are easily killed allowing you to get both golem and lizard buff at lvl 2-4 with smite as your summoner spells.
Next is to rush phage and in playing Olaf you know that Olaf is a really bad chaser without maxed Undertow so to make up for that Frozenmallet is REQUIRED its a necessity and without it Olaf may suffer GREATLY. After Frozenamllet i do something a little different instead of rushing starks I switch to Wrigglers Lantern although it is not on the item set its great to beef up Olaf's dmg and armor with an extra 14% LIFESTEAL for only another 1k gold AMAZING!!!! and with the added ward ability it allows you to keep and eye on dragon/baron/jungle so you can jungle more efficiently and prevent annoying jungle ganks =( {i hate those}. Next is to rush starks which is a perfect item for both Olaf and his team because of its attack speed and life steal which both synergizes well with Vicious Strikes. Now to increase Olaf dps/crit/tanking ability for my last 2 items I get both ghostblade and Randuins Omen to lower Olaf's CD on Vicious strikes with 8 seconds ( WITHOUT RUNES) this allows Olaf to keep up his W and R as much as possible to keep him alive and a constant threat.
This is my first guide ever so I would appreciate any constructive critizism you guys give in the comments but please be mature and no flaming just trying to give back to community and future Olaf players.(also typed this at 1:00 in the morning so excuse the grammatical errors
