Thanks again Ryve, I'll keep hacking at it, and hopefully it will be some semblance of "good" by tonight.

Cheers!

I still think dying often at 1-2 second cooldown of your ult is not a good reason to get 3 CD runes which will give you 2 second reduction at lvl 18.

In that situation I would more likely say it's because of bad timing on your part. Hold back for 10 seconds longer before engaging if possible and you have your ulti that you otherwise wouldn't have had. Having 3 attack speed runes will help out a lot more then 3 CD runes.

With the change to Tryndamere I am no longer a fan of crit runes. Especially for jungle.
Infinity edge, phantom dancer and a second PD or a ghostblade give you all the crit you need(70% with ghostblade, 85% with PD; and another 2% from masteries). You no longer need to be low health for crits. Armor pen., AS and flat health are all better options in my opinion.

Wouldn't it be better to post the optimal rune configuration and not the one you can actually afford. I can't afford all my runes yet either, I'm taking ages to get them all.
But that's why people add rune sections in their guides, so that they can show what other runes would also work.

Now I see you have changed the setup and imo it looks a lot better now.
My rune config for trynd is currently:
red:
3 AD
6 armor pen
Yellow:
9 flat armor
blue:
9 magic resist per level

This is because I can't affor them all yet, this is what I'm working towards:
red:
9 AS
yellow:
9 flat armor
blue:
9 AS

All these runes will help throughout the game, but will have the biggest impact early game in your jungle.
Getting through the jungle a lot faster using these runes will make your jungle route better then the one I use now.
It also lacks the armor pen runes which are best late game, which is also 1 of the reasons why I like to buy a ghostblade.(If they are all really stack a lot of armor, I also go for black cleaver instead of the second bloodthirster)

Man, this was a long post.
To sum up, guide looks a lot better and still has the twist ap00pnugget talked about.
Decent guide, but it's still very cluttered. Being concise will often have more people read through your entire guide.

Great detail and well thought out. Most Trynd guides are all the same except this one adds a unique twist. Like it a lot :)

I like the idea on the variations in quints, being balanced may reduce your strengths, but it WILL get you killed less, where as going all into one will make you stronger but you might get killed. As for the other runes my advice is put them as to what they should be, even if they aren't necessarily what you have. I support the youmuus over the phantom for the reason of you can keep the avarice blade for a long time to boost your gold before finishing
like the route, +1
:D Good job

Ryve,

Thank you for the criticism. The next time I play Trynd I will build a Youmuu's instead of a Phantom Dancer and see if I like it better now, but I prefer the permanent move and attack buff from the Phantom Dancer to the temporary buff of the Ghostblade, as when the Ghostblade is on CD, you're more vulnerable to being ganked while solo-pushing, for example. Regarding having a Wriggles lategame,
"After that, get a Bloodthirster, sell Wriggles and get another Bloodthirster (or a Madred's, but I prefer Bloodthirsters because lifesteal essentially makes Trynd immortal) and if you're up to it, you can sell your boots and get either Phantom Dancers or another Bloodthirster."

As for Runes, you're right, they are all over the place. Unfortunately, I'm fairly poor (I have not played as many games as other build authors, however I've probably played just as many games as Trynd), and thus have to have sort of a catch-all rune setup, which is why I went for Celerity and not runes that are more beneficial to the purpose of pushing or assassination. You are correct, 2.7% CD reduction isn't much (although it does somewhat cushion the number of times you'll die with your R on < 1sec cooldown, which has happened to me all-too-many times, so I'll change my Rune setup to be less ******ed.

As for Quints however, I feel I have a point.
-Flat HP is great for the first three levels or so. It makes getting an early firstblood much easier, and it's more noticeable early on than a 2% crit boost, IMO. It also satisfies my "utility" runepage requirement. I'd rather spend 6300 IP on runes or another champion than on a runepage, at this point.
-Furor quint is there because it's useful lategame, whereas Malice is only useful early.
Anyway, thank you for all the comments, I'll certainly use them to polish my guide.

Hi Rhys! Thanks for the nepotistic upvote!

Imho, I think your guide is somewhat unclear on most parts and you completely exclude certain possibilities.

Item's such as Ghostblade offer a lot of opportunities that the 2nd phantom dancer won't.
It will give enough crit. Movement speed only for a short time but it's much greater. But it also gives damage and armor pen while still giving great attack speed on activation. Making this a better item the a 2nd phantom dancer.

You should probably include another item in the build, because a lot of items are much better then wrigles at endgame.

Your rune setup is all over the place.
Tryndamere has no use to have 3 CD runes.
2.7% cooldown reduction is of no use. Also 1 health, 1 crit and 1 crit damage quint.
With these kinds of runes you'll be average at everything, but that won't get you very far. Combining AD and armor pen marks is often done, but usually people take a single rune and fill all 9 slots with it. This is done because it is actually best(most of the time).

I will try out your jungle route as I have not tried it this way.
I does offer some opportunities.

I voted -1 as this guide pales in comparisson with the ones already out there.
