Hello and Welcome to my very first guide on MobaFire! First of all I want to tell you that if you find any grammar mistakes, please write a pm to me so I can change every single mistake.
Now let us begin with the guide itself. You may ask why did I do a guide for Vi. Well that is easy to answer, I played her in every single ranked game lately and because I couldn't find a "perfect" guide I decided to create my own one, in that case I experimented alot with runes, masteries and the right purchase order, finally I got it and want to share it with you, the MobaFire Community.
Pros / Cons
Why should you play Vi?
- Nice basic Attack Damage ratio.
- Clear the jungle pretty fast.
- 100% Kill at level 6 ganks.
- Ult can't be interrupted by nearly anything.
- Vault Breaker can be used universal.
- The first really dunking Champion!
- The reset on Excessive Force can be buggy.
- Vault Breaker is easy to dodge.
- Forced to get red buff pre 6. if you want a successful gank.
Why do I use the runes that I use?
Greater Mark of Attack Speed
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
Don't much to say, just Denting Blows.
Greater Seal of Armor - I think there is no need to explain why Armor, it is just to survive
Buff camp and its never wrong to have more durability.
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist / Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist - I use the Magic Resist runes to get some start Magic Resist and
the Scaling ones to stack up my Magic Resist higher and higher
during that game,because as you can see If you use this Build you
won't have that much Magic Resist.
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage - Why Attack Damage instead of Amor Pen. or Life Steal, easy,
you want to counter jungle the enemy red buff directly after your blue
and the surest way is Attack Damage.
Fury - Same as the Greater Mark of Attack Speed fit perfectly to Denting Blows.
Deadliness - In case that you want to counter jungle, you want to take all Attack Damage that you
Weapon Expertise - This masterie is perfect to make Denting Blows even stronger!
Summoner's Resolve - Standard jungle masteries to earn an extra gold income of +10 each use.
Durability - You want to take this masterie because it gives you a lot of extra health wich is perfect for her passive Blast Shield.
Tough Skin - Take this masterie, that effect allows you to take less damage from monsters and Minions.
Hardiness / Resistance - Take one point each, because free +2 amor/magic resist.
Bladed Armor - The extension of Tough Skin every monster will get 6 true damage if it hits you.
Unyielding - You will get -2 Damage from enemy Champions, wich is great.
Veteran's Scars - Extension of Durability it gives you 30 health what is great, because it incrase the limit of Blast Shield.
Block - It reduces the damage of enemy basic attacks. You want to assassinate the enemy Ad Carry so it is perfect, but later more about the gameplay.
Juggernaut - 4% more health? AWESOME! It says if you have much health you will get even more.
Tenacious - Reduce the duration of Crowd Control.
Honor Guard - Reduce the damage you would take by 3%.
What are her Spells and how to use them?
Vi will get a shield equal to 10% of her maximum health. The shields cooldown is 18 seconds at lvl 1; 13 seconds at lvl 7 and 8 seconds at lvl 12.
Use this to open a teamfight, to initiate a gank, to chase someone down or to escape from sticky situations.
This is a passive ablility, the effect is that every 3rd attack on the same target deals an additional 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10% (+ 1% per 35 bonus AD) of the target's maximum health as physical damage. That is great isn't it? but its not over yet it also reduces the target's armor by 20% and grants you 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% attack speed for 4 seconds.
Excessive Force Is your best bet with Vi, it deals a ton of damage and it is also your best farming ability, because it will send a cone-shockwave on hit!
That is her ultimate wich allows you to charge on an enemy champion and dunk him down to the ground! Use it to take an enemy carry out! While charging you are immune to crowd control and will knock aside enemies in the way, dealing 75% damage to them.
Creeping / Jungling
Fly through a Monster camp or a minion wave with Vault Breaker to mob them up and finisch them up with Excessive Force.
On bigger Monster (Elder Lizard, Elder Golem) mob them up with Vault Breaker as usual and use Excessive Force on the third autoattack to deal amazing damage in combo with Denting Blows.
Jungle path: Start at the Ancient Golem camp (ask your team for a nice leash so you can save your smite).
After that head straight to the Elder Lizard camp (mkae sure that the enemy jungler doesnot camp in the brush right beside it.
You reached level 3 and now look out for nice gank opportunities if your team dont need help now go ahead and clear the rest of the jungle.
Last words: Keep ganking lanes, pass up the buffs and make sure to keep vision on the map and the gmae should be yours.
Over all Vi is a pretty good champ. The damage output and the crowd control is a nice addition for every team! In my opinion is Vi viable for ranked games if you sit down and take some time to master her you will rush up the raked ladder in no time!
