Introduction - why not pure AD?

Tryndamere is mostly an autoattacker. It is clear to me that most people think building him fully AD and maybe a bit tanky is the only possible key for success. Building him fully AD though, I found myself having crits over 1000, but unable to land them on enemy carries. In this guide, I will show a slightly different approach to Trynda, making him more agile.

Pros / Cons

+ ranged active slow helps ganks
+ more agility in a fight thanks to lower cooldowns
+ significantly better self-heal than on fully AD Trynda

- slightly lower damage than on fully AD Trynda

Runes

Take 6 marks of armor penetration, to make killing of neutral monsters and champions a bit easier. More penetration should not be needed, so better take 3 marks of crit damage.
Take the usual jungler seals, flat armor. It is a must, especially when you jungle with full offense masteries.

For glyphs, take magic resist per level. Trynda is very squishy and AP nuking can kill him before he rages with ulti. He will need this in mid/late game.
For quints, take crit damage as well. With those 3 marks, it makes 20% in total, making Trynda's crits even more fearful. Since Trynda can have 35% crit chance just from rage, I think this can make a big difference even in early game.

Masteries

Take every AD based thing in offense tree and even Havoc. Trynda needs almost no defense, he has lifesteal and when he needs it the most, he can become immortal. From defense tree, take only some vital minimum for jungling. You can put some points in time spent dead in utility, reviving few seconds sooner can save a turret, since Trynda is a fearful enemy for the pushing guy.

You can build it different way, you can even include some AP instead of time spent dead. I fiddle with masteries sometimes, trying some other approaches. The basic rule is clear, though: You should do maximum damage.

Items

For items, I do one unusual thing for a jungler: I don't take Wriggle's Lantern. I start with Vampiric scepter, then I build Berserker's Greaves when I first return to fountain. After that, I buy Bilgewater cutlass.
