Poppy Guide
Ka Pow! Poppy Smash! (Top) [Season 7]
1: always take Flash over Ghost. Flash allows for less predictable engages. Also Flash +
2: With items such as Dead Man's Plate and Iceborn Gauntlet you don't need Ghost to stick to your target.
3: you don't have Tri force and black cleaver in the same build, you pick one because you are not getting double the benefit from buying two phage items.
4: Poppy arguably doesn't need an attack damage item if she follows the Iceborn Gauntlet build.
5: Spirit Visage? Poppy doesn't have any champion specific health regen so she doesn't get anything from the unique passive. Poppy has a plethora of ways to get CDR and if she needs magic resistance Mercury's Treads, Guardian Angel, and or Banshee's Veil are all cheaper options.
6: the build Bruiser Poppy contains 7 items, so something in this build has to go.
7: your vs heavy AP build... you don't buy an Infinity Edge unless you have more crit to back it up. you want Mercury's Treads to deal with the likely CC coming from an AP heavy team. you don't consider Warmog's Armor, Titanic hydra, Banshe's Veil. You are not likely to survive a 1 v 5 with your build, you should try a super health and magic resist tank build with a titanic hydra thrown in for damage.
8: Why would you take W at level 1? that doesn't help you in top lane or in the jungle, or even as a support. It is literally always more advantageous to take Q at level 1, you can actually do something with that spell.
9: try Courage of colossus, small nit pick, but this mastery gives a pretty hefty shield. Grasp still works, just Colossus is a little bit faster more gratifying tankiness when going in 1 v 5.
Hi, I just wanted to say thx, just had and awesome game with poppy. All thanks to this guide! I didn't follow it exactly since the new changes and all, (Righteous Glory seemed too good and helped alot since team was falling behind) but easily the best game I ever had, so thanks you Kalaaver.
