Hello ppl. this is my first build and i just wanna hear things bout my build on karthus(i take it on every mage) :)
Excuse my grammar bcs my primary language is Croatian/Serbian, so pls dont take it for bad.
Painted stuff is important!
Im a Karthus player for a very long time now! i play him for over a year! i tried all kinds of builds, 3v3 5v5 5vBots! ALL THINGS POSSIBLE, even tank karthus(really sux balls)
Stats are fake. He has more AP
Stats written are fake he has over 550 Ap with this build, calculate all(and passive of rabbadon and archangel that are not calced in stats above, has more mag pen and stuff just slide down and read!
HAS 30+50% magic penetration!
HAS over 500(even 550) ability power!
And i believe that he has more mana!

He has 675 Ability power
40% cooldown reduction
Lil bit more mana! bout 3400 :)

Time ur ulty never rush! or u will spend it!
Time ur steps! Lux's ulty can always pop out!

Zilean has a clock on his back!, i suggest u to buy 1 and put it in front of U!
Runes
For runes i take 9x mag pen marks
9x armor seals
9x ability power gliphs
QUINTESENCES:2x magic penetration 1x ability power
ALL RUNES I HAVE ARE FLAT! NO PER LEVEL! FLAT!
Simply bcs i hate w8ing for some power. I dont say U have to do so but i preffer my runes.
I took mastery MEDITATION for mana regen, i buy Archangel(25 mana/5secs) so i dont need mana regen seals. they are Expensive but useless with meditation and archang. u can use mana/5 seals if u want but thats why i take clarity! I also take Morello for mana regen! so u have 60 mana/5 secs. Enough, take blue buff! and nashor for more mana regen! If u really need them!
Masteries

Classic choice for mage( 10 percent Cooldown reduction, 10 perc. mag pen and mage stuff)
I take Meditation masteries only bcs. I play AGRESSIVE!, and waste mana as crazy!
Again U dont have to do so!, but for best resaults on Karthus, U should do so!
Gameplay
Now i buy Mana cristal first and go to mid(always 5v5).
DONT be agressive at start! last hit with Lay waste(q).
STAY OUT OF TRUBLE! DONT PUSH! DONT HARASS TOO MUCH(if U want its OK, u have colossal rangs)
WATCH OUT FOR GANKS.
Now i guess u have Requiem(r) nad u have 2 kills(1 is OK, 2 is gr8). U are in 7th minute!
FARM LIKE MAD! HARASS! WASTE MANA!(8TH MINUTE) NOW RECALL!
I dont care is oponent on low Hp. if u have ulty ask for gank and ks with ur (r)!
Its not polite nad nice at all. But remember, ur Karthus(aha u need kills) :)
Buy Soccerorer shouz, and tear of goddes! maybe potion oor 2 fr helth and mana(4 potions chose which ones) DONT BUY ELIXIR, cz u will be ganked in a second and u wasted 250 gold!
SPAM (Q) U have Defile(refills mana)(and u have pots). Somone will get mad!(trust me, they will come and gank U) since u have wall of pain slow em! use potion fr helth regen! dont cast spells! just run to ur turret! watch out for bushes! Leblanc or nidalee will try(many others too!) go to ur Wraiths, kill em, go to wolves do the same! :) kill Those fat golems too! ;) recall buy Archangel if u can! KS with ur ulty if u dont have enough gold!u are suposed to be lvl 18 in 16th minute(but its OK if ur not lvl 18 thil 19th minute(but in 19th u should be lvl 18, actually U must be))
now start ganking with ur tank/disabler. U should have 12-20 kills in 25th minute if the game is doing fine if not, well than ur screwed!, but ur playing a hard character, so try taking 20 bot(vs computer) rounds to master ur (q) and (r) bcs bots have support ALWAYS so it will be a bit harder to secure with ulty but will be easier than real ppl(unless U get a Mentaly chalenged team)(or ur ppl enemies are "slow").
Now try getting some items to build rabbadon! if u cant and ur getting ganked more often bcs u have more than 5 kills in 12th minute start buying Rod of ages!(u h8 it read in other paragraph my opinion bout it!
The game should END in 30eth minute if ur playing well(i mean gr8)
Elixirs and Unique skills
I said not to buy them! Yes i did! but when u finish the build buy them! jungles are warded! U WILL die! if U don`t destroy wards! Elixir order is a must! Blue one pink one and red one! AP/CDR ANTY-WARDS(SHROOMS AND STUFF) HEALTH AND AD(USELESS BUT USEFULL for ward killing)
Unique skills!KARTHUS CAN CHECK BUSHES/BRUSHES WITH WALL OF PAIN AND LAY WASTE! SO U DONT NEED WARDS!
YOU DONT NEED WARDS!(support-ward, karthus-kills-no wards)
THY ARE WASTE OF GOLD!
DONT BUY EM!
You can buy them if U insist, or if ur getting ganked often. But not otherwise. Ward-Supporters job!
Items
Here! U h8 Rod of ages! OK! Now listen i buy it bcs it gives AP MANA HELTH, u have archangel! yes? yes! It will give U more AP bcs of its passive(3% of max mana to AP) More AP for U. U have 2100 mana now bout 2000 HP(its 19th minute)(U also bought morello!)(thats 20% cdr)
Archangel- Mana, Mana, more Mana! mana regen(+morello 12 mana regen) gives absolute mana!(+ rod of ages!(+3%of max mana to AP))) that is LOT of AP, MANA, MANA REG And HELTH!
RABBADON- a must! karthus without Rabbadon is like Katarina with clarity! USELESS!
Socc.......... 20 mag pen(+ runes)= over 30 mag pen + void staff!(+masteries 50% mag pen!)
SO IF ENEMY HAS 200 MAG RESISTANCE FOR u HE has 65! thats nothing compared to 200!
If he has 30 to U he has - 50(if u add wall of pain!) :) so galio can Blow U with his shield! and mag resistance!
Subsequent item and a substitute for void staff is Abyssal scepter! bcs it gives some mag resistance. BUY IT ONLY WHEN ENEMIES DONT STACK MAG RESISTANCE!, or when veigar is ur enemy!!! he will 1 shot U so buy it than!
Rilay cristal scepter/Zon...Hourglass are a substitute for Void staff. take em if enemy is
not stackin MR.
Skill Sequence
I tried maxing Defile(e) first so it regens my mana asap when i last hit and it SUX, Wall of pain First- SUX. LAY WASTE(q) EPIC WIN! deals tons of dmg. Eredicates single targets(dmgX2 on single target) and costs LOW MANA defile will fill it up if u can 1shot caster minions with (q)!
Ulty always comes in handy!(morello gives cdr+ur 10perc from masteries that is 30% cdr!)
U will have ulty every 72 seconds in late game!
Summoner Spells
TELEPORT- more XP, more gold less time! GOOD THING
karthus is a SLOW *** FULL OF OLD BONES!(but is my favorite) so it will help!
Clarity- U dont need it but sometimes it is usefull! ENEMIES(all of them on 50 hp) BUT U HAVE 20 MANA what u gunna do? CLARITY! and earn a penta! its good in team fights! and when ur partner(one ur ganking with is on 0 mana)
PPL h8 clarity on him but its good!
PPL h8 teleport on him but its only bcs they are un-educated(about playing him):)
I see you h8 clarity, but i told you, U can use ignite or flash too! I spend mana as a maniac so i need clarity, but if u like silent way of playing u can use flash/ignite.
Pros / Cons
Pros- AoE dmg!
Mage, ranged, spammer
Wall of pain- crowd ctrl.
Defile- self mana regen tool + nice IN RADIUS dmg.
Global Nuke!(ulty of course!)
Badass-Deadass! Almoast immortal(well 7 secs count)
With this build HE is a God!
Cons- Squishy
Hard to master- ********! he is easy as playing with dolls!
Mana probls in start(another reason why i take clarity!)
Thats it nothing more bout him!
Farming
Just last hit with basics, and q!
He can eredicate(make something extinct) 666 minions in 2 seconds with his (e) in late game!
Farm harder if u need wards! but i leave that part to support/jungler with Wringle!
Team Work
U need help! U need to kill steal! U need Items! U need ganking partner, and an support! Soraka is the best support that karthus can have in team! and A worst enemy!
Creeping / Jungling
Farm Ur Blue buff, Wraiths and Everithing alive as much as possible!
Dont be stupid and get ganked while U do so! buy ORACLE ELIXIR! in the end when u complete the build!
NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER
NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER CHECK THE BUSH WITH UR NOSE! LET UR TEAM MATE OR UR UNIQUE SKILL CHECK IT.
You can use wards but than farm more agressive.

Deathfire grasp- Morello is better! if u wanna buy deathf... bcs of active do so but i recommand Morello! trust me!Health items?- U have rod of ages, it's all u need. U are ment to kill(and u have passive when U die) so U ARE NOT TANK!!! U dont absorb dmg! u dont have mag resist/armor, u have AP and u are killing machine!
