Have you considered using Morello's Evil Tome?? The AP, MP5 and CDR it gives are pretty nice IMO. If you've already answered this question, by all means ignore it, I just didn't feel like reading 10 pages worth of comments.

Could you point out the grammar/spelling errors? It can be hard to see, when you've written it yourself.

Morello's is a fine item on Karth, though with blue buff and masteries, your CD is actually pretty decent. Depending on whether you want max AP or more CDR. Quality vs. quantity. :p

Why the mana crystal first? I feel like with the range on karthus, the mana regen from the meki is more mana in total, before you need to go back. I think it is after two and a half minutes, the meki regenerates you more than the 200 from the mana crystal.

Meki Pendant is also a fine starter item.
The main (perhaps the only) reason I start with sapphire crystal is because it's gives you more Lay Waste - if you are able to succesfully zone your opponent in mid, then I prefer to have more "bubble" early, rather than having more sustained. That way you can gain an early advantage and therefore las-hit easier. With runes and masteries you have an okay mana regeneration.. Meki Pendant vs. Sapphire Crystal is really a matter of playstyle and what you prefer imo.

Nice build, i guess. But i have a suggestion for ya: The wall doesnt only slow enemys, but also debuff their mres and armor, especially in early (15 when reaching lvl 4) and late game (this skill at lvl 5 debuffs for 35 mres and armor), making you and your carry (most likely, unless they doesnt have Ar.pen/Mpen) to do almost true dmg to them, and rape in teamfights.

Also, i always go for the RoA instead the Archangel's staff, i like a little more survability, but i think i'll have to try without it to give u a second opinion. K, that's all, u got a +1

I didn't write that in, because it's in the tooltip, but I'll probably add it anyways :)

RoA is also great, I actually sometimes grab that instead of AA as well. ^^
I should add that to the guide :)
Thanks for the comment.

Tried your build out and it didn't seem too bad. However I've gotta say a few things. Personally I think the ap / lvl glyphs suit Karthus' playstyle better as the start like you state is more about farming rather than going for early blood. Also when you look at the difference between the two sets of runes I can't help but to go for per lvl ap:

- 9 x 0.99 ap = static 9 ap
- 9 x 0.17 ap /lvl = 1.53 ap / lvl
- 9 / 1.53 = 5.88 = 6

So basically the ap / lvl runes out-perform the static ones already at lvl 6 and that's when Karthus will want a lot of AP to be able cast heavy hitting requiems. Also the leveling phase from 1-6 doesn't take very long.

About your seal choice for hp / lvl. I don't disagree with this, even though I do run mp5/lvl or more AP on this slot myself. Just noting that you've said they add around 350 health to your champions health pool, which is not quite right.

- 9 x 19.44 = 174.96 = 175

I think you just accidentally went with 18 x 19.44. But they still are quite ok at 175 hp at lvl 18.

For items I think it's alright, but you shouldn't swap out void staff at all. Frankly I'd even build it before Zhonya's Hourglass if the opponents look even a bit tanky.

This might sound like a lot of criticism, but frankly this is an all-round impressive guide, just nitpicking a bit in hopes of helping out. :)

Edit: Forgot to +1 :>
