Welcome to my Kassadin HyperCarry guide. Seeing as Kassadin is a relativeley dead champion that no one seems to ever want to play, he is the perfect champion to help you climb the ranks of SoloQueue as he will be available for you 99.999999999% of the time, and most people, especially in lower elos, have no idea how strong he is.

Early Game for Kassadin is a bit rough, but pretty manageable. Seeing as he is a melee assassin in a meta of ranged mages, naturally early laning phase will be difficult, but not impossible. I dont recommend starting with Q as it will make it a little harder to CS at level 1, and its rank 1 trading power will not usually match the power of your opponent, since the shield has a cast time to return to you after using it. Levels 1-5 you pretty much just want to CS. If your opponent walks up to you, E them for slow, then aa-W-Q them and if you can, get 1 more aa in at the end. This combo, at lvl 4, should do about half their hp if not more. This will seriously make them rethink walking up to you again. Now the lane is free for you to CS as they are terrified of you.

Level 6 - Now here's where Kassadin becomes a monster. Doesn't matter if you bought a catalyst or a revolver, you should win now. HARD. Now, you cant just all in them and expect to win, as many mages can blow you up in return (i.e. Lux, Ahri, etc.) so you need to play smart, and you will win every time.

Here's how: let's say your opponent in lane is an Ahri. You have a few options. Seeing as her charm is long enough to fully burst you, you have to remove it from the equation in one of 2 ways. 1: (less risky, but not as flashy) stand aside from your minions, and continually walk towards her, and back away, eventually u will get close enough that she will try to throw it at you. either sidestep it, or R to dodge it. your R at rank 1 is a lower CD than her Charm, so now you have a window. As soon as your R is up again, kill her. R-aa-W-E-Q-aa and shes dead. if shes not, simply run her down with another R.
Does she have ult? She used it to get away/win the trade? no problem. your ult is up in 6 sec. hers is down. kill her.

The key to winning early with Kassadin is just knowing the limits and the possible outcomes of the match. If your opponent has CC, how can you get rid of it or dodge it to win the trade?

Mid Game is where Kassadin begins to take form. While he is still and incredibly strong late game carry, his mid game is nothing to be taken lightly. Once you have completed your first 2 core items (Rod of Ages and Hextech Protobelt) you should be able to delete squishies immediately, or at least force them to burn summoners and run away while u chase them down for an easy kill. If you can land your full combo (R-aa-W-Q-E) they should be dead, and you have an easy escape with the short CD of your R.

Your time to shine. Late game kassadin is an absolute monster. Any squishy can be one shot, and your R will be on around a 1.5 sec CD, so you are too mobile for anyone to do anything about. As the teams prepare to fight, get vision around the area. Wait in FoW for the fight to start, then sneak around, jump over a wall, whatever you have to do to get on the backline, blow them up, and get out.
