Hello guys ! It`s my new katarina guide !
As far as i know i`m not very bad kata player, so my friends had advice me to write a katarina guide. Also i want to say that english isn`t my naitive language so i can do some grammar fails!

Pros

+ Kata is very good assasin burst mage.
+ Kata is easy to snowball vs low skilled enemey.
+ Kata is very fun to play, and u`l win any normal game if u`l hold kata well.
+ Kata is a very disappointing pick in rankeds (for your enemy) cuz they will think that u troll, but when u`l pwn them they will be really disapointed.
+ Kata is sexy ^^

Cons

- Kata is realy easy to counter. (Every stun\silence\CC)
- Kata is extremely squishi.
- Kata is champion wich needs skill to do well.
- Kata is not from DEMACIA !

I suggest using two ways of masteries. As for me, i use the first variant more often then the second. About using masteries i`l speak later.

The first runpage is more defencive then the second. About runes i`l speak later too.

There are several ways of item builds.
Also there are too much situational items for katarina.

I use Hextech Gunblade and Deathfire Grasp cuz it`s active items wich deals very much damage and up Katarina's assasin potential !

(late game example)

Farming by katarina is easy. With the second u`l have very much ad, so u can lasthit minions easily. With the first build lasthiting isn`t very hard too. U can lasthit minions by combo W+Q.

Note

When u are in lasthiting, be care about enemy ! If your enemy has skillshots, avoid them by your Shunpo !
(You can jump on your creeps\ enemy creeps \ your enemy)
U can jump on your enemy without fear, cuz u`l jump to the back of your enemy.

U should farm farm farm farm farm. Then rush Kages lucky pick to get bonuce money.
Avoid skillshots of your enemy. Avoid gangs by Shunpo on your minions, or in extremly hard situations u can use your Flash.

If u are getting to be harrased hard, use your health potion !

After lvl 6 call your jungler to gang. Stop push, w8 when your enemy will loose his stun (if he has it) then use W -> E -> Q -> R -> IGNITE. Also your jungler will help u, and u could get a kill.

The First half of mid game

In the mid game you should gank !
If all was allright in the early game then u have Boots and kages lucky pick
Look for gank. Your aim is pushed lines. Come to pushed line, ping to your mates, then attack together. U should get kill.
Do a lot of ganks, but don`t forget about farm. U should have 150-160 CS at ~20 min of the game.

The Second half of mid game

If u had farm well, u will have Hextech Revolver in your build, and if u had gank well then u`l have Giant's Belt too. Now you have core items, and u can show your assasins potential. Try to not avoid fight, and u should be in every teamfight, cuz katarina can steal kills easily ;)

Last half of mid game

If u hadn`t good game, u have Giant's Belt now, or if all was right now u have Hextech Gunblade and Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Now u are realy dangerous ap carry. Try to get so much kills as u can, and help to your team.

In the late game, your ulti should do over 1k damage by 3 targets, so try to use it correctly.
You are still squishi if u follow main build, but u are dealing TONS OF DAMAGE :D
In the team fights you should focus enemy ad\ap carry very fast, and avoid any CC.

Use your w, then w8 a bit (10-15 secs) use q\e then use w again then use e\q. PROFIT ! You have double effect of your W, cuz it lasts very very long time.

Jump at the jumping enemy (Wu for example) U`l just swap with him, that`s all :D

Ask Morgana to use her E on u when u ulti, and nobody will can use CC on u and u`l cast all time of your ult
