Now To What Lucian Brings to the table
-High Burst damage with proper use and time of abilities
-Synergises well with Trinity Force
-Average Range

Pros +
High Burst Damage
EXTREME Movement speed with W + Tri-Force + Furor Boots
Not as squishy as other AD's
Good Poke
Very Hard To lose laning phase

Cons -
Falls of Late Game
Doesn't do much when everyone is 6 items
Outranged By a few ADC's
Not very Effective in Mid-Late Teamfights Once Ult Used

Some Champions may give Lucian a rough laning phase, but all people can be countered if played against properly. These are just some of my observations after playing Lucian Many Times

Harder Opponents
-Caitlyn (Lvl 1-3)
-Sivir
-Tristanna (Later On)
-Jinx (If Played Well)
-Lucian
-Vayne (Late Game and If they can dodge well in lane)
-Ezreal

Easy Matchup
-Varus (Possibly the easiest lane match-up for Lucian)
-Vayne (If the Vayne cannot dodge well, You will easily trash her in lane)
-Ashe (Get slowed? , E out of range)

For Lucian, Tri Force is literally what makes you so good, it gives move speed on hit, Attack speed, Attack Damage, AP, Crit. Chance and Mana. You Always want to rush this FIRST
- Must Have Core Item

Next, you want zephyr, as it Gives you more movement speed, Attack speed, Attack damage and Tenacity
The Attack speed is good in general, but because your ultimate scales off Attack speed, makes it so much more important
- Best Attack speed item for Lucian
Go BOTRK If the enemy team has Lots of health and Last whisper if they have armour, same for Black Cleaver.

For Attack speed, choose Statikk if you are pushing and want quick wave clear and Phantom Dancer for Attack speed in general.

Now for your defensive item, You will usually be buying either Mercurial Scimitar, or Banshees Veil, but i will go over the other item choices
How should i Decide?
Banshees will be Good when against teams with many skill shots (Lee Sin, Teemo, Thresh)
Mercurial Scimitar is your go to item when you need Damage and a solution against heavy CC Teams (Thresh, Leona, Taric)
Guardians Angel is not recommended as if you die, you will usually be crowded by the enemy team. waiting for GA to revive you, meaning you are dead anyway. You could rely on your team to guard you whilst you are being revived, but in solo queue, you cannot trust ANYONE :(
Now For Frozen Mallet, This is My favorite defensive item if you are ahead, it gives you health, AD and Slow, If the enemy team doesn't have much CC or Annoying Skillshots, Frozen Mallet is probably your best choice.
