I've seen a lot of Kennen guides and a lot of people say that this champion is overpowered and stuff like that, but to be honest i really think Kennen is a hard to play character and takes some time to master all his spells and abilities. So here i give you in my opinion a grate guide for how to play Kennen.

- Depends on good timing and precision
- A bit hard to master his spells
I chose this kind of setup runes because i think that Magic Penetration is far more better that stacking Ability Power, because Kennen doesn't have a spell benefit of 100% from Ability Power. And most of people now wonder "omg why didn't he put health runes and stuff like that" well the answer is you have enough health at start with your defensive Masteries. And the more Magic Penetration you have the better!
I almost always go 9/21/0 but that can variate form the type of game you are playing, for example: you go on a 3vs3 map, and you have 2 tanks beside you (i mean you are in a premade game and you know who's going to pick who) so you take the utility tree and go 9/0/21 i dont prefer having that but if they can babysit you theres no problem! But always go to the Magic Penetration in offence.
Items can also variate from game to game, but as i have shown in the Item order above, you should do the same. I mean you cant always predict if the game will go smooth and by smooth i mean having the mejai's stacks on a high amount before entering the midgame. If you see that your having trouble handling the kills and stacks on your Mejai's than don't take it, it's simple just adapt to the situation. Take the Will of the Ancients instead.
As you have probably seen i like to max upand as that is your main opener skill in this guide you should do the same. Always weaken your opponents with yourthen rush in withand then, as you should have 2 orbs on your target stun them withyou should get your energy back fast enough so don't worry about that. As soon as you getthe game should be very much easier for you, as the spell has a pretty low CD for that amount of orb stacking and damage yous should do fine in lane's. As for team fights Kennen is probably the most effective champion for that role. It's because of histhat nearly stuns all the targets in it almost instantly and deals a fair amount of damage, and if you took SpellVamp items yous should always be kiting your opponents and regaining health and energy easily!
I my opinion the summoner spells I've listed above are not always the best to begin with, Ignite is a power full spell for this champion because occasionally you lack that little bit of energy to kill so Ignite is there for that. And about the Teleport spell, well i take that because Kennen is one of the fastest champions in LoL and when u teleport to some location on the map, for example you are in the middle and your top lane gets crashed by 3 of your enemies u just teleport on to a minion or a tower andinto the enemies activatingand ripping them apart :)
Ofcourse consider taking any Summoner Spells you prefer except mana regen ones!
