_starting item build-
You'll want to start it off with VAMPIRIC SCEPTER, as this will allow you to stay in your lane as long as possible. While your basic damage won't be very high to start with, you'll be attacking more than fast enough.

After that, build towards LAST WHISPER, prioritizing RE-CURVE BOW over LONG SWORD but you'll buy what you can when you go back.

At this point, you'll notice that your movement speed doesn't match well with your absurd attack speed, so it's time to fix that. So pick up BOOTS OF SPEED first, go farm a bit, then come back and pick up either BOOTS OF SWIFTNESS or BOOTS OF MOBILITY. Swiftness will help more with in battle while Mobility will help you get to where you need to gank, help you chase fools down and potentially help you flee when your tanks fail to CC properly. Really, if you're doing well then get Mobility.

At this point, you're attacking fast. You're moving fast. But you just seem to be missing something. You know what that something is? Damage. You know how you fix that? B.F. SWORD. which later builds into BLOODTHIRSTERS. Then build into a PD

PHANTOM DANCER. The extra crit is in fact brutal, as well as the extra movement speed and dodge bonus.

Other items of note:
1) SWORD OF THE DIVINE.
2) WIT'S END. Great for when you're fighting against casters. it's something to consider.
3) MADRED'S BLOODRAZOR. Everyone should know this by now, but when you're going up against MF Cho'Gath, Hp Shen, Mundo or other Hp stackers get this. It makes dealing with them so much easier.
4) Infinity Edge- Need i say more? Increased crit damage, and a whopping 80 AD = i just raped you :)

-FARMING-
Farming should be simple with Kennen. Lane, don't forest creep. You'll be spamming attacks fast enough that last hits will be easy. After you get Lightning Rush, use that to put a MotS on all creeps then trigger Electrical Surge for massive AOE damage. Bonus points for the last combo if you have a MotS or two on the opposing

- GOOD TEAMWORK-
This Kennen build functions similarly to Twisted Fate or Twitch. Twisted is a bit more mobile out of combat with his Fate ult and Twitch can stealth and Spray and Pray, however Kennen has AOE stun and superior farming abilities. His attacks are also much more spammable and he specializes in being where he wants to be.

You can solo, however I've had more success laning with someone who has decent CC abilities.Shen can taunt, Kennen can stun, and Shen can teleport in on a Kennen who's activated his ultimate, and Kennen can easily hit the daggered enemy for addition Hp drain. Really, anyone with good crowd control abilities are ideal. You want a strong early game. The faster you get your items, the sooner you're crushing your enemies. Play as aggressively as your laning partner will let you. You can set up kills and you can finish kills, but you're not strong enough to do it alone, unless you decide you would like to stack a few bloodthirsters instead of youmuu's or Frozen Mallet.
