Introduction

Moshi moshi! I'm Kaimoeko and this is my Kindred build guide. I'm Silver V on NA, and I play all the positions, though jungle is near and dear to my heart. Kindred is fairly new, so I hope this guide will help you decide how to best arm them for battles on the Rift!

Summoner Spells

Smite and Flash, Standard jungle stuff. I suppose if you wanted to be cheeky, you could take Smite Ignite, or Smite Barrier, but Flash is going to help you escape, or get that last hit you need to secure a kill.

Runes

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush
Armor Penetration runes are going to be all but mandatory on Kindred. They don't deal well with armor, seeing as the only damage they do is AD. The Scaling MR runes are a good choice, making you tougher to kill late game to magic damage, and further shielding you from late game bursty mid lane champs like Veigar.

Not much to say here, Start W>Q>E, then max out that Q, then your E. Hitting hard with your Q is going to be important in ganks.

Items

(The item planner seems bugged at the moment. I'll add this in later!)
Warrior has been nerfed! That means there's no armor pen on it anymore, making Devourer much better for Kindred. Just prioritise getting stacks, whether it be from camps or ganks.

As far as the other items go, I typically start with BORK and run from there. BORK makes hitting people fun, and the active can save you from tough spots when you don't want to use your ult. Next, I like to go with Hurricane, because more on-hit effects are more fun. Plus, hitting three people at once is great! Next, I like to go with Wit's End, for more on-hit goodness.

The last item you choose is situational. I'll call it What's Killing You? Get Maw if you are getting dunked by AP, Mercurial Scimitar if CC is getting you down, or Death's Dance if the burst is blowing you away. If none of these apply, go for a bloodthirster for some extra lifesteal and a shield.

Pros / Cons

Kindred can 1v1 pretty much anyone, but don't think that means you can just walk into a group of enemies and walk out without dying. (Looking at you, Rek'Sai!) Use this to your advantage, and try to catch enemies that are alone or straggling. Remember that your wolf passive is global, and running to it willy nilly is just going to get yourself killed. Take a friend or two, because they are not going to go in alone.

Jungling

Get a leash on Kruggs. Being a ranged champion, I'd start on Kruggs whether I was on blue or purple side of the map. Smite the Kruggs as soon as they show up. After they are dead, move up to the raptors, which should be an easy clear without smite seeing as you already have your Q. Move then to Red, smiting it when you get to be about half health. Remember to use your Q every time it is available. After red, clear wolves and blue OR gank a lane. From that point it is really up to you and how your game is going.
