As a militaristic state, it would perhaps come as no surprise that the primary responsibilities of Noxian women are raising strong children and providing succor for husbands who walk the path of soldiery. There are some, however, for whom nurture is not nature, and Katarina is just such a creature. Born the daughter of the feared Noxian General Du Couteau, the girl was always more interested in her father's knives than in the dresses, jewelry, and other trifles that her sisters spent so much time fussing over. A childhood dispute soon unveiled her uncanny knack for bloodshed, and her father, ever the opportunist, happily fostered her killer instincts. After training under the tutelage of the finest assassins the mighty city-state had to offer, Katarina first cut her teeth performing assassinations in the Ionian War. There, her ruthless mastery of the knife and dagger combined with her sadistic temperament to earn her the title Sinister Blade, a moniker that would follow her for the remainder of her career. She is most famous, however, for her exploits in the campaigns against Demacia, especially those surrounding her engagements with the nation's champion, Garen; a rivalry that began when she recovered the remains of Sion from a vanguard under his protection.
With the demand for warfare somewhat arrested by the tenuous peace settling over Valoran, Katarina sought the allure of violence in its last remaining haven: The League of Legends. Some might say it was an inevitability that Katarina's chosen path would draw her to become a champion of the League, continuing to enforce the will of Noxus and bring prestige of war to her noble family. There, she continues to perform her bloody work - esteemed and reviled, feared and adored.
"The Sinister Blade of Noxus is like a black widow - beautiful, but deadly." - Garen, the Might of Demacia, following a skirmish in the field
In this guide I dont want to talk tooooo much about the details of the build itself. I know there are lots of Guides here on Mobafire each with very extended and detailed explanations how the build works ans why you use exactly this method etc etc. I dont want to go to deep here because mostly the build itself isn't "ultima ratio" will say it's never a guarantee to win or necessary to be chosen to play, since your enemys allways vary and you have to adjust your build to stand a chance against the enemy team. Also the game is best played with intuition and a good reaction aswell as a good organized team..
TEAM --> MOST IMPORTANT
Basicly I like magic penetration.. since the Runes give u a very small bonus I think the only two usefull runes are Magic Penetration and Cooldown Reduction since the Runes profide you with a high precentage of bonus compared to all the other runes when you play a game
Allways usefull, very disturbing in early game while on lanes.. for the heck of it i mostly use it on champs with enough life it wont kill them but with a little shunpo here shunpo there and some knifes, moral goes down and makes your enemy afraid of attacking
Used of 5on5 Map. We need to be mobile while we play in our clan so allways a good choice for quick reactions
how you like to play: 3on3 Clairvoyance is also nice or Blink.. adjust to your gameplay
The Items are basicly for AP and Health because of a few reasons;
- You need DMG!
- You want to use Lich Bane and believe me u really want to use it.. shunpo an enemy and strike again with the same amount of dmg (or more? not sure..still its alot) hurts..
- You want to survive a little longer so u need a little health, why not Rylais Crystal Sceptre it profides you with health AND it slows your target
Buy Dorans Shield then sell it after you have your health bonus with Rylais Crystal Sceptre
I like this build the most but you can allways adjust it hower you want but stay with enough life and the lich bane and of course with the whole AP build itself.
Ive tryed to fight with this build a few times and i allways had to adjust it, like i mentioned above, to my enemys. So if you find any need for Will of the Ancient try it, if you need magic resist take an Abyssal Scepter.
If you do NOT kill enough people get rid of Mejas Soulstealer, you allways need a good tank taking all the dmg so you can jump in and throw some lotus knifes but if you arent a very surviving player change to something with enough AP like Zyonas Hourglass.
Never sell it if you have good teammates protecting you because with your 20 stacks and CDR you are one ugly son ***** with that woman.
Make up your mind, try it or let it be.
if u like it, like it, if u hate it, hate it.
Sweet Sweet Katarina, almost like.. chocolate mmhhh
