First of all. I am not a 420 360* Noscope Platinum I smurf and am clearly not the best summoner in League of Legend. I'm merely making this guide to check out Mobafire and I love this site so far. So my wild journey begins, I have made a kog maw guide for fun.


I play AD carries a lot and stuff. Yeah.

Reason I lose 1 ad is because free crits are amazing on Kog'Maw. You can always lose this mark for another flat AD mark. Armor pen marks are good too, but I'm lazy at last hitting and prefer the extra AD. But for the chance of getting a random crit can net you a kill every once in awhile and it can win you the lane.

Armor seals are mandatory, because without them you will be staring at a grey screen for most of the early game.

MR glyphs to help counter supports like Sona and Soraka's poke. Consider flat Armor glyphs if you're going up against zomg Graves and Leona combos.

Flat AD quints. Because I'm lazy when it comes to last hitting.

Cleanse is probably what I run every time on a carry that has no escapes other than flash. If Kog'Maw gets caught in a team fight or alone, he'll most likely die without this spell to help him out.

Ignite is for babies. JK it's the second best spell in the game.

Flash is MANDATORY. Good luck Ghosting to someone and having them Flash over a wall.

This stuff is pretty basic. Nothing that anyone from League should not know.

First of all, everything in LOL is SITUATIONAL. Even your starting spell is. That being said, the items you start with are dependent on how comfortable you are with Koggy or the support your with or who you're up against. I will explain the reasoning behind most starting items.

Spawn

Doran's Blade: If you have sustain from your support, this is a great start. Though the heal from it is not good as it used to be, it's still a safe choice.

Boots and 3 pots are always a safe way to start as well.

Red Elixir and 6 pots is too manly for me. But it helps early trades that aggressive laners will try to force trades.

Second Back

You get killed early: Doran's Blades!
You get m-m-m-m-m-multikills. Bilgewater Cutlass, Berserker's Greaves or both :O
Get extra HP pots for bait and sight wards if your support's mentally impaired.

Offensive Items

Blade of the Ruined King is the best item in the game. I'm sort of kidding when I say this, but this item chunks HP like no tomorrow and the active is amazing.
Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge: DPS and crit help Kog'Maw tremendously with his damage output.
Runaan's Hurricane and Statikk Shiv help push lanes and get those pesky turrets out of the way.
Trinity Force for tons of damage. I dunno. It works on Kog'Maw, don't ask me ask Riot.

Defensive Items

Warmog's Armor = I NEED MORE HP MUST GET MOGS.
Randuin's Omen = WTF TOO MUCH AD TANKS NO ONE PEELS.
Mercurial Scimitar = BF SWORD AND QSS HAD A BABY AND MADE THIS
Zephyr = I DONT WANNA BUY MERCURY TREADS
Guardian Angel = TROLOLOL YOU KILLED ME SIKE.

Kog'Maw is an AD carry. Yay.
