Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Do Keep In Mind...
This is my first guide, and I really don't know a lot about being a pro in League of Legends, but I pretty much understand the basics..
I would appreciate any tips you would want to give me and this guide. And thank you for giving it a chance. Please point out any flaws or recommended changes in the comments below (:
For this guide, I tried making his attack damage go as high as possible with 100% possibility of a kill. Multiple kills if you play your cards right. Now please remember I'm NEW to guide writing so bare with me.
For runes, I stuck with
1. 9 Armor Pen. Marks.
2. 9 Attack Spd. Seals.
3. 9 Ability Cooldown Glyphs.
4. 3 Armor Pen. Quints.
I don't feel to strong about my glyph choice, but if you agree, feel free to keep them, if not feel free to switch them out. Comment below on which ones you changed and why.
Because this a raw DPS Kog'Maw. I stuck with the offensive tree. Mainly focusing on attack speed and armor pen. With 21 Offense points in total.
In the Utility tree, I used the rest of the 9 points, for the longer monster buffs and the extra exp. increase.
For items, I usually never get any health pots. Not just on Kog'Maw but on every character. I don't find Health Pots to be necessary. Correct that choice if you must. So instead I jumped straight into attack speed and damage. The first being Beserker's Greaves. For the movement and of course, attack speed. Immediately after buy Madred's Razors for easy minions kills early game, a recurve arrow or pickaxe right after, and save up until you can afford Madred's Bloodrazor. Most builds go into Malady right about now, but i prefer a Phantom Dancer in my arsenal. Reason being is because the critical boost, attack speed, and the movement increase for easy chase. Most of you may not agree with the Phantom Dancer, feel free to switch it out.
The Black Cleaver is a MUST. Due to it's armor reduction and it's attack speed/damage increase.
Next is a Frozen Mallet, because the health increase reduces squishy-ness, while the slowing effect allows you to chase down enemies without fail, just incase your abilities aren't able to catch up in time.
And last but not least. Stark's Fevor, The aura makes you AMAZING in team fights. Along with armor reductions.
So. To sum it all up. This build reduces the enemy armor and speed to nothing, while you DPS with the help of abilities. Amazing Gank abilities and great 1v1 and team fights.
The skill sequence is fairly basic.
Maxing out his Bio-Arcane Barrage, for the amazing range, that's capable of taking out fleeing enemies from a safe distance. The bonus damage is also great against jungle creeps.
With one point in Void-Ooze, I max out Caustic Spittle for the attack speed and the armor debuff.
And then max out Void-Ooze.
Along the way putting a point in Living Artillery whenever possible.
Remember there are NO points in AP. Making these skills only a factor in the death of the enemy.
Pros / Cons
- Able to take out even the TOUGHEST of tanks.
- Amazing Gank ability.
- Great team DPS.
- Turret killer.
- SQUISHIER THAN GUSHERS.
- No gank resistance.
- No fleeing survivability.
- The focus of all team battles.
Remember this build/guide is only an IDEA base, a pathfinder.
What items and actions you take are yours alone and do not require guidance.
Remember to leave changes and build success in the comments below and give whatever feed back you can! Thank you and i hope you enjoy this build.
