Ok here is another Chaotic Bliss attempt to synergize a champ. My subject this time, is Kog'Maw. I always try to make the best with the least amount of money. This build cam out to 9797 gold.

From an overview of this beastly champion, here is an attempt to synergize his hybrid power. Im by no way an authority on Kog'Maw, so please no flamming. Im looking into him as a champion to buy, and if this build gets good reviews, than Kog'Maw will be added to my list.


Im going with an offensive/utility build. In offense, Ive gotten many of the caster masteries, and a few of the physical dmg masteries. In utility, Ive gotten CDR, Mana Regen, and experience.


Ive noticed that Kog'Maw is one of those champs that has both physical and caster like skills. Caustice Spittle is his own passive ArP. Bio-Arcane Barrage increases his attack range, which is great since he is so squishy. Like Ashe in a way. Void Ooze is great if you need to slow for any reason. And than his Ult, Living Artillery. This is one of those synergy skills that drew me to Kog'Maw. Long distance, and powerfull when combined with his other skills.


When it came to choosing runes, I was trying to find something that would benefit him from the start. ArP runes work well with Caustic Spittle, while the magic pen runes, work with Void Ooze and Living Artillery. Since Im trying find a balance here, I had to mix and match the Marks. I think that with both penetrations about even, Ill be able to keep both forms of dmg high.

Seals are for health. Kog'Maw being soft, I figured health would be the best thing for him.


From the Riot Champion Spotlight, I learned that the Mouth, is item dependant. I tried to find items that would play to both his physical and magic skills.

I am found of Ghostblade for anyone that deals physical dmg. Since he has is own form of ArP, I figured Ghostblade would fit in great with him. The dmg is good, and there is bonus ArP. Since his attack range is increased with each rank of Bio-Arcane Barrage, I figured this would be a great way to make the best of the skills.

Next on my list is Guinsoo's Rageblade. This will give AD/AP and as I attack and cast I gain more Attack Speed and AP. I think that is a great way to combine his physical and caster strengths. This isnt a cheap item, but it works with what Im trying to do.

Nashor's Tooth is my next item. This also gives AP which powers Ooze and Artillery. And Attack Speed means faster attaack with longer range with BaB (Bio-Arcane Barrage). The CDR is great when ganged with Ghostblade.

Hextech Gunblade is just another great item that mixes with all of Kog's skills. It also gives both Spell Vamp and Lifesteal. That means Kog'Maw benefits from all his skills in one way or anther. Its active is also great when it comes to LA, VO, and his basic attacks

Last is Lich Bane. This is useful for many reasons. It gives AP, feeding VO and LA. Mana feeding skills. Movement, to help him run since he has no real escape mechanism. Its Passive helps make the best use of his skills. In theory, I can VO, my next long ranged basic attack will hit for 445+the effects of ArP. After that, I can cast LA, bringing the passive back up, and hitting for 450+. And this will just keep getting better.

Summoner Spells

I was thinking Ghost and Ignite. Ghost to help chase, run, or assist in a different lane. Ignite is for the extra burst, and with its improved effects, I gain 10AP. Cant beat that since it will play into everything :)

I dont play Kog'Maw so Im not sure what champs would be good to lane with.
