Introduction

Hi, i am Ibcsi and this is my first guide.

I hope you enjoy and find it useful. In this guide i try to show how can you be a KOREAN CRAZY COW. If you follow the instructions u can easily be a good Alistar player. I have got 1450 ELO and i know this is'nt so high (but i dont even loose with Alistar), but i've got several wins in a row. I think my experience is enough to create a good Alistar build guide.

Summoner Spells

My Personal Choices

Flash
Flash is a basic summoner spell at Ranked Games. It's good to teleport through a wall to escape, but at Alistar the flash is more important to use your deadly combination of your spells and/or initiate a teamfight. (See more also: Tips & Tricks)

Exhaust
I prefer Exhaust, it is better then Clairvoyance. I think every team need least 2 Exhaust to weaken the enemy AD carry in lane phase and in the teamfigths too.
Some Viable Choices

Clairvoyance
A great many of Support 's certainly use it every time with flash. Clairvoyance need some experience and "sight" on the minimap to use it profitable. I think at Alistar the Exhaust is better.

Ghost
If you dont like flash, Ghost can replace it. You can suprise your enemy wiht Ghost too, but with Flash it's easier to fell your enemy.

Barrier
Obviously to replace the Exhaust. I think it is not the best choice for Alistar, but it gives much more survivability and for sudden turn backs.

Abilities

Passive Trample
This is Alistar's passive ability. Every time you cast a spell, Alistar stomps on the ground for a few seconds, allowing him to move through units and dealing damage to nearby enemy units and structures.


QPulverize
This ability knocks nearby enemies into the air, incapacitating them for a moment, then stunning them upon landing. This ability is generally used defensively to disable enemy champions or a to set up ganks.


WHeadbutt
Alistar dashes forward dealing damage to a single enemy and knocking the target backwards. In addition to the damage, use this ability to knock enemy champions out of position, away from team fights, or into your allies. Be careful when using this ability, the knockback can be very useful, but it's can be direful too.


ETriumphant Roar
It heals you for a small amount, as well as half that amount to nearby allies. Every time a nearby enemy unit dies, Triumphant Roar's cooldown is reduced by 2 seconds.


RUnbreakable Will
On cast, Alistar removes all disables on himself, takes a massive reduced damage and gains physical damage for 7 seconds. You can easily tank champions and turrets for your team.

If the enemy has great harassment ( Caitlyn or Nidalee) or you just get pwned on your lane and you need some plus health, I recommend this defensive sequence.

If the enemy is defensively and you have got chance to kill them or you just need lower CD on Pulverize, I recommend this agressive sequence.

This is a very Tanky MS and SP CDR mastery, some mastery like Wanderer and Tenacious is very important for Alistar. It's need to be a CRAZY COW!

This is the Supporty Mastery, what I often use. With this Mastery you loose your survivability, but you earn much more utility, like CDR and G/10.

Greater Quintessence of Swiftness: Plus movement speed, i cant add so much to this. Alistar need high mobility to effortlessly do your combination and toss the enemy into your team and grind them.

Greater Glyph of Shielding: Per Level MR is important for the late game, if the lane phase is at the end, and you need to face with the AP Carry.

Greater Seal of Resilience: Flat Armor is significant to avoid the dies from the AD Carry in Early Game.

Greater Mark of ReplenishmentGreater Mark of Replenishment: I know this is the worst choice for Mana Reg, but it is the best choice from the Marks.
Other Choices

Greater Mark of Intellect: Flat Mana is a good possibility, but it is again a bad from the Flat Mana runes.

Greater Mark of Insight: Flat Magic Penetration. I think it is'nt good, but i dont like it at Alistar. Fair numbers of Alistar players certainly use it.

Warding

WARDS.
Warding is the topmost role of the support! Buy at least Sightstone for spare a lot of gold! I buy Ruby Sightstone if I can.

1. Always let an empty space in you bag for the Sightstone and pink wards!

2. Positioning

Note:
1. Very Important ward!!! Need it when the enemy can slay the Baron! ( Baron Nashor Spawn at 15:00, Initial Spawn Time: 7:00)

1.B Important ward! If the enemy jungler can not to solo at low level wait for the enemy Support to ward it. After he comes back, you just place your Vision Ward and knock the enemy's down. ( Dragon Spawn at 6:00, Initial Spawn Time: 2:30

2. If you are in the Red team and you have got a dragon ward, place to the point of 2.B for the Earlier Vision.

3. If it is to be feared that the enemy's junger or support want to Suprise you from the bush.

Abyssal Scepter is pretty good, because you arealways in the center of the Team Figths.

Tips & Tricks

COMBOS

This is an easy combo to hold the enemy near by your teammates and dont let them escape.

This combo is harder then the preceding, but with some practice you can easily acquire this combination too. Quickly Flash to the target, immediately after Pulverize him into the air, then go to the opposite side and knock him to your mates with your Headbutt.

It is a deadly combo to suprise your enemy and stun them (before you knockback him away) to kill them easily. Headbutt to the target and immediately after Pulverize. You need to get experience and have fast fingers for effectively use it.

TRICKS


1, If someone turret-hug and He can defend himself from the turret-divin you can to go round, suprise him and start the diving (with your ultimate ( Unbreakable Will) it is easy) Headbutt to your teammates then Pulverize him for the stun.

2, Use your Headbutt for the easy escapes, but take care with it! You can ruin a free kill, if you knock the enemy through the wall's other side.

General Tips

AD Carry

I had got no chance to try all of the AD Carrys with Alistar, but what i know, i write it:

I don't love Kog'Maw with Alistar. It is not so awesome, i know better then Kog'Maw.


I love the Vaynes. If you can combo your Pulverize+ Headbutt with her Condemn it is a horrible CC.


Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverse, then Headbutt and Pulverize to the tower. It is a free-kill ;)


With Smoke Screen the Pulverize+ Headbutt combo is easier.


Explosive Shot with Trample is too high pushing. But if you can combo the Rocket Jump --> Buster Shot --> Headbutt ---> Pulverize under the tower it will be so nice!


If you Pulverize the enemy to the air, it is easier to land Trueshot Barrage. Not the better duo with Alistar.

Cooldown Reduction

Take care with your CDR! Maybe your items and the Masteries will put you over 40%, but if you are taking care about it (it isn't so hard) you will be a KOREAN CRAZY COW

Farming

Yes, i know, support don't need to know how to farm. Only at this time you need to kill minions if this is not avaliable for your AD Carry,- if he going back, you are alone in the lane and you can farm without danger - DO IT (Better then nothing).
