Introduction

Hi guys this is my first Mobafire build. This build will talk about Rengar. Rengar is a very versatile champion he does not use any mana but he uses Ferocity. Every time Rengar uses a ability he gains 1 ferocity if he has 5 Ferocity he gains a empowered version of 1 of his ability. And Please dont down vote unless you've read all of it. Enjoy!

Lore

On every wall of his den, the trophy hunter Rengar mounts the heads, horns, claws, and fangs of the most lethal creatures in Valoran. Though his collection is extensive, he remains unsatisfied, tirelessly seeking greater game. He takes time with every kill, studying his prey, learning, and preparing himself for the next encounter with the one monster he never managed to defeat.

Rengar never knew his real parents, but was raised by a human who was revered as a legendary hunter. He was an ideal pupil, intently absorbing the lessons of his father, and improving them with his uncanny feral instincts. Before his mane had fully grown, Rengar set off on his own and claimed a wide territory for himself. Along its perimeter, he mounted the skulls of his slain prey - a warning to would-be aggressors. He thought undisputed reign of a region would fulfill him, but instead, he grew restless. No beasts in his domain proved challenging prey, and without formidable adversaries to push his limits, Rengar's spirit waned. He feared that no worthwhile game remained, that he would never again feel the thrill of the hunt. Just when things seemed their bleakest, he encountered the monster. It was a disturbing, alien thing, distinctly out of place in his world. It bore huge scything claws and devoured any animal that strayed across its path. Overzealous at the prospect of a challenge, Rengar ambushed the monster in haste. It far outclassed anything he'd hunted before. Their fight was savage, and each suffered crippling wounds. Rengar lost an eye, but the most grievous blow was to his pride. He had never before failed to make the kill. Worse yet, the severity of his injuries forced him to retreat. Over the following days, he hovered on the threshold between life and death. He was wracked with pain, but beneath it, he felt a glimmer of joy. The hunt was on. If such powerful beings existed in the world, he would find them, and stack their heads high. The monster, however, was a kill he wanted to savor. On his den's largest wall, he reserves a space for the beast's head, a trophy he swears will one day be the centerpiece of his collection.

''Prey on the weak and you will survive, prey on the strong and you will live.''
-- Rengar

Jungle Route

When jugleing buy Cloth Armour and 5 pots and travel to Red buff. You should ping it and tell your team you need a leash at red buff. When you have killed Red buff with smite use 1 pot and kill wraiths. Then go to a bush and wait for a gank. When you have completed this follow the steps in the picture above.

Summoner Spells

Flash

This summoner spell could make the difference from you dying or living. It can be used offensively with Rengar's ult to create a good gank or a good escape used to get through a wall.

Ignite

Ignite is used to secure kills on champions and is used to reduce the healing or regen of champions like Dr. Mundo or Sona.

Smite

Used on monsters and minions to quickly and efficiently kill them.

Exhaust

A good replacement for Ignite is Exhaust it helps you chase down enemy champs. But you already have a slow from your Bola. It is good when in 1 v 1 because of its 70% Dmg reduction and its 40% Atk speed reduce.

Items

OPTIONAL

Item Sequence

Trinity Force
3733

Youmuu's Ghostblade
2900

Infinity Edge
3600
If you want a more bursty/assassin type Rengar I advise you to buy Infinity Edge or Youmuu's Ghostblade. The Unique passive on it gives you 20% Movement speed + 50% attk speed and every time you attk you increases its duration by 2 seconds (Max 8 seconds). So it will be useful when chasing down enemies. Infinity Edge will be good in 1v1 situations and when ganking it will give you the extra edge in a fight with its 80 Dmg and crit.

Maw of Malmortius is item that gives you a shield if you would take magic dmg which would leave less the 30% of your max health , it absorbs 400 magic dmg for 5 seconds. It also gives you 55 atk and 36 magic resist. This item is good if your in lane with a Ap carry or if you are gettting ulted by Karthus annoying Requiem.

Trinity Force is a questionable item I dont really prefer to get it, because I like my Rengar tanky but thats my opinion. Trinity Force has a decent slow for 2.5 sec and on cast increases base dmg by 150% for 1 attack + it has good stats useful for dueling and ganking.

Boots

There are so many boot's but which to buy ?

Ionian Boots of Lucidity

Unique Passive: Enhance Movement 2. 15% cooldown reduction
Ionian Boots of Lucidity is a good option when buying your tier 2 boots because of its CDR. This item will help you with your abilities in your early level's and allow you too spam your Q Savagery which is your main source of Dmg.
Mercurys Treads

25 Magic Resistance. Unique Passive: Enhance Movement 2, Tenacity: 35
Mercury's Treads is a item to buy when you are laneing against a Ap Champion for Eg. Vladimir and when the enemy team has a good amount of CC (Crowd Control).
Ninja-Tabi

25 Armour. Unique Passive: Enhance Movement 2, Reduces the damage taken from non-turret basic attacks by 10%
You should buy Ninja-Tabi when you are jungling because of its 25 armour, it will help you in early levels. And it will also increase the duration of Randuin's Omen
