Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Quick & Easy
This is the 5 minute guide on how to learn Nasus. It's not very hard to play Nasus. He's a strong late game champion. Farming his Q, and giving him armour with cool down reduction is key. Siphoning strike will be your main weapon. Bringing the cool down reduction to about 2.4 seconds. If you farm to about 250-300 you should be good till late game.
No colorful pictures. Plain boring and simple. A quick read. Learn to play him, and try him out! I don't put all this other stuff going into detail on how I should buy it, and what time I should have this amount of cash.
Nasus Early, Mid, Late
Nasus early game is hard. Especially if your taking a 2 v 1. Farm up as best as you can. You have to time it right, and aim it just right. Hitting not even 100 damage with siphoning strike to land a last hit on a minion is pretty difficult. I still miss even today. It's human, and it's hard at the start. It will soon pay off, and it will get easier. Stay in your lane, and don't over extend. Watch the ganks, and you should be fine. Stay far enough from the turret that the minions can't hit the turret, but close enough that your in range. They can't gank if your far behind.
Now your probably about 20-40 minutes in. Your farm should be pretty high. Before 10 minutes you should have about nearly or over 100-200. The farming is extremely easy, and everything just works for you. So use your time wisely. If you see a big pile of minions sitting around put down a spirit fire, and start smashing minions with siphoning strike. You'll see very quickly you'll hit 250-300. A few team fights help out, and stay map aware.
Spam your Q. Don't worry about mana, because it only takes 40. You should have Frozen heart easily by then. So mana isn't an issue. Your Siphoning strike should be at 2.44 seconds. or somewhere near. In a 1 v 1 fight put down a spirit fire, and fight on it like a platform. It drains their health, and gives you that slight advantage. Smash with Q, and you should be hitting somewhere between 450-700. Thats 700 damage every 2.44 seconds for 40 mana. Win the game, and take your team to victory.
I'm not to huge on masteries, and it does help, but don't rely on it to save you. I just took some defense/offense/Cool down reduction. It's the necessity for Nasus. You can switch it up, but really I believe this is the best way to run Nasus on Defense and Offense.
Items - Explanation
Cloth x 5 potions/Boots x 3 potions. Why? Armour and Lane sustain (I take it 2 v 1, and if i have a laning partner, but that's my opinion). For boots I don't recommend, but if you have a strong laning partner than you can.
Glacial Shroud/Frozen Heart? It's for frozen heart. It combines not only Mana, but 99 Armour and Cool down reduction. It's Nasus key item. This is an item I always get no matter what situation I'm in. It just fits Nasus.
Boots? It's time for you to get a pair of kicks. Now heres your choices.
Ninja Tabi - Not really suggested
Mercury Treads - High AP/CC team
Ionian Boots - My usual (For siphoning strike)
Other boots - Doesn't fit Nasus well.
Trinity Force: I just found it to fit nasus, and his needs so I tossed it in there. I see a lot of people yell at me when I don't get it, so I just tossed it in there. I believe it's a waste of money, and you could put it into something else.
This is where the decision making starts.
What does the other team consist of? What boots/items did you get?
AP team - Force of Nature
Weak Team - Youmuu's Ghost Blade or Shurelya's Reverie
DPS Team - Thornmail
If you want more power:
Bloodthirster or Infinity Edge(I usually take 1 at the end of the game just for the fight)
I keep it short. I base it off farming Q, and getting it up quick to go. It just helps you farm way faster. Not lagging on the other skills to much though.
Basically like Masteries, and based it off crit. Why? It'll bring you to a high crit rate, and really help you hit a home runner of over 1000.
Pros / Cons
Strong end game
Still good in Team Fights
Good at Ganking
Ultimate is good for tanking
Weak early game
Hard to farm early game
Can't harass very strong early game
