Introduction

Hello my name is Token. First of all I just want to let everyone know that this is my second Build/Guide so far so if I make a mistake or its not as good as I think it is please do not troll and down vote. Simple just leave me a comment and inform me on how I can fix or make my Build/Guide better. Also please try it or even read it before you down vote or up vote :) Thank you!

Thank You.

Now onto the Build/Guide!!

This Build/Guide is on the champion Leblanc. I have played her for a while now and I have noticed that she isn't played as much as other champions. I also looked up some build/guides to help me become better at her and none of them seem to fit me as well so I am going to make this one and share it with everyone! Enjoy! :)

Introduction within an Intorducion

I have been starting to think about this lately and the more and more I think about it my guide starts to seem like and anti-tank guide. This wasn't my intentions at first for LeBlanc but now that i think of it, it does make some sense. Also I have had some people tell me that starting with the Deathfire Grasp that early in game is almost a bit expensive too. I can see where people come from too.

So! I have decided to add another build that has been modified without Deathfire Grasp but still the AP LeBlanc lives off of!

About LeBlanc

Every city has its dark side, even one whose reputation is already of a questionable hue. Noxus - though its name is already invoked with a mixture of reverence and revulsion - is no exception to this simple truth. Deep within the winding dungeons that honeycomb the earth beneath its dark, meandering streets lies the real underbelly of this sprawling metropolis, a haven for all manner of malevolence. Amongst the cults, covens, and secret societies that call this labyrinth their home, LeBlanc, the Deceiver, presides over the Black Rose, a remnant from a lost, yet similarly unscrupulous time in Noxian history. Ruthless and seemingly ageless, LeBlanc and her ilk were a mainstay in Noxian political affairs during the era before the militarization of the Noxian government. In those days, this guild of powerful magicians met in secret to further their hidden agenda, and to hone a craft more subtle than that preferred by those currently in power.

While their exact motives have always remained mysterious, it was widely believed that the Black Rose was the true power behind the throne while the aristocracy still reigned in Noxus. When raw martial prowess became the ultimate determination of whose will held sway in the Empire, the Black Rose seemed to vanish overnight. Many believed that perhaps their time had simply passed, and that its members had put aside their quests for social and political dominance. When LeBlanc reemerged at the gates of the Institute of War, however, it became clear that these masters of shadow and flame had simply been biding their time, waiting for a new global authority to emerge: the League of Legends.

Spells/Abilities

Mirror Image

When LeBlanc is brought below 40% health, she instantly becomes stealthed for half a second. When the stealth fades, she creates a Mirror Image that deals no damage and lasts for up to 8 seconds. This can only occur once per minute.

Sigil of Silence

LeBlanc projects an orb towards her target, dealing 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+60% of ability power) magic damage and marking the target for 3.5 seconds. If the target takes damage from one of Leblanc's abilities, the mark will trigger, dealing 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+30% of ability power) magic damage and silencing the target for 2 seconds.

Distortion

LeBlanc rapidly moves to a target location, dealing 85 / 125 / 165 / 205 / 245 (+60% of ability power) magic damage to nearby units. In the following 3 seconds, she can activate Distortion again to return to her starting location.

Ethereal Chains

LeBlanc flings illusionary chains towards a target location. If it hits an enemy unit, it will deal 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+40% of ability power) initial magic damage and slow their movement speed by 25%. If the target remains shackled for 2 seconds, the target takes additional 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+40% of ability power) magic damage and is unable to move.

Mimic

LeBlanc can cast the previous spell she cast. The mimicked spell deals 10% / 25% / 40% increased damage

Runes

Runes! On both the Solo Mid build and the Normal Lane guide I choose Marks of Insight (Magic Penetration) because all of LeBlanc's Spells use AP therefore making it much more effective when using each spell.
For Seals I choose Seals of Replenishment (Mana Regen/5 sec.) or Seals of Clarity for her normal AP build, because especially in the beginning of games she eats mana up fairly fast and the extra mana regen keeps you in lane for a longer time period which is very good if your in middle lane.
Glyphs were a simple choice. AP or Glyphs or Force (AP per level) because of course this is an AP build for LeBlanc so extra ability power is necessary no question about it!
Last was Quintessences. They were also a very easy pick. More AP. I picked Quintessences of Potency because that extra AP at the begging of games makes all those kills easier.

Masteries

The masteries I choose are all pretty self explanatory and are very compatible to the champion and how she plays and fights.

Items

Once again we come back to Ability Power, LeBlanc's main source of power.

Many of the items I choose to use have AP, Pure Mana, Magic Pen., Cooldown Reduction, and Mana Regen. All things very important to playing a successful LeBlanc.

One unique item I have in this build is Deathfire Grasp. Reasons behind this item and why i choose it is because it active ability! If you use its active ability it does magic damage equal to 30% of the choose champions health with and additional 3.5% increase for every 100 AP you already have. It has a minimum of 200 damage output on it if use on an enemy champion which is the same amount of damage as LeBlanc's Q. To make it all the better it only has a 1 minute cooldown making it useable frequently. Using this on a tank or any enemy before doing any kind of damage at all can take a large chuck of health from them before you start your actual spell sequence which can be very helpful to you and your team in the end.

Other items I have chosen for her build are items like the Void Staff. Along with its large amount of AP it also provides more magic pen.

Another unique item I choose are Archangel's Staff. Along with is decent amount of AP and large number of mana added to your states you get a wonderful passive that takes 3% of your maximum mana and is converted to AP. It also provides a passive that gives you 4 mana for every ability or spell that you cast with an exception of a 3 second cooldown between each cast use. It may not seem like a lot but in the end it really adds up considering the number of times you cast a spell in a full game. It has a cap of 1000 mana so you can't go crazy with it but the two passives on this one item benefit each other!

One of the most remarkable items in this build is Rabadon's Deathcap. What makes this item so amazing is first of all it gives you a whopping 155 AP even better its passive increases all ability power you have by 30%!! I'm sure everyone can agree that this item is almost a MUST HAVE for any AP champion out there.

Item Suggestions

Other possible items I would consider would be Mejai's Soulstealer. Why? I think its obvious it gives 20 AP right off the back and than with every stack you gain 8 AP and can gain 2 stacks at once and it gives 15% cooldown reduction at 20 stacks, but the only down side of it is that you lose a third of the current stack when you die. :(

Abyssal Scepter - Another great item! The 70 AP you gain is always nice but the real part that we are all after is the aura! All nearby enemy champions lose 20 magic resistance and on top of it all you get 57 magic resist too!

Will of Ancients - Also another great item for LeBlanc. It give 50 AP and it has a unique aura that grants all nearby teammates 30 AP and 25% spell vamp. Good for any other AP nuker on your team or anyone else that just simply needs AP or some spell vamp. too! I have used it a few times when I am paired with other nukers like Annie but its not always ideal item to use.

Farming

Farming is very important to LeBlanc. Most of the time I use Distortion and activate it closes to the area with the most minions and than finish off and of the remaining minions with just basic attacks or Mimic. Some you may ask why just wast your ultimate on minions? My answer is by the time you start to farm the cooldown reductions will have enough effect that you wont have to worry about getting caught without your mimic ready it will be up and ready before you know it.

Skill Sequence

OK! This is what holds it all together!

Skill Sequence! The first ability you should be maxing out is definitely her Q or Sigil of Silence. Why you say? First of all when you use Q it does the basic damage but it also applies a mark on that enemy champion which than does additional damage and silences that target.

Next you should max out her W ability. Distortion is also a very unique ability that does more than just one thing. Upon using it you quickly move to your targeted location and dealing magic damage to everything in the area but in the next 3 seconds you can activate Distortion again and return to her starting location. many times in begging game I combined Q and W together to do a decent amount of damage and keep myself safe doing it.

One of the 3rd abilities you should be leveling right away is E or Ethereal Chain. It can be a very handy and powerful game changer in LeBlanc's ability list. When using this ability you shoot out a chain form LeBlanc, if it hits a champion it does damage and slows them by 25%. If the target stays shackled for 2 seconds they take additional damage and are rooted to the ground and are unable to move for an amount of time. This ability can be very useful for finishing off that last chunk of health they may still have and if not it slows and stuns them for some time giving you another chance to finish them off. It also can be used at the begging of your attacks to keep them from running away and combined with Sigil of Silence can keep them from flashing away right away.

Finally LeBlanc's Ultimate. The bread and butter of her skills.
Mimic! Mimic allows LeBlanc to cast her previous spell again but with an additional damage increase! The combinations are unimaginable! You have 4 different spells under you control anything is possible!

One thing I would suggest to do before you take her to a PvP is go into a custom or a Co-op vs. AI and just experiment with her. Try to find her best spell sequence with them all what does the most damage? What will help you escape the easiest? Just play around its what makes her very fun to play the endless possibilities! I would do this even if you do play her regularly like me. You never COMPLETELY master her.

Summoner Spells

Mid Control Summoner Spells:
Exhaust and Teleport.

I picked these two spells instead of others because
Exhaust-I have had many times where its saved my life where I have already used my normal escape route or its blocked or the spells I use to escape are on cooldown so I use exhaust to slow them and get away. and by that time your escape should be inevitable.
It also can be used for its main purpose to help with a kill or in team fights.

Teleport-A very important spell for miding especially. Why? because if you need to go back to heal or buy gear and your enemy laneing against you is very aggressive and pushing easily you need to get back to your lane right away! Teleport is there to help! OR if your bottom or top lane need help defending their turret you are quick to teleporting to them and are able to help out everyone.

Normal Lane Control Summoner Spells:
Clarity and Teleport.

Clarity-When in Normal lanes like top or bottom lanes you are much farther away from your base because of the loop/curve in the lane. Therefore it is critical that you can stay in your lane as along as you can!! As LeBlanc mana can always be a problem. Clarity fixes that problem, and if you have a teammate in your lane that also has mana you can support by casting it next to him giving a portion of his/her mana back too!

Teleport-Teleport has the same basic uses as it does in Mid Lane Control. Saving time from running back and forth between your lane and your base to heal or get gear, and to help others in different lanes. (For more info refer towards the top of Summoner Spells in Mid Lane Summoner Spells)

It has also been brought to my attention that if you do play 3v3 with Leblanc teleport isn't always and ideal summoner spell. I agree! Thanks to Dylan also a Leblanc player suggested to use Ignite instead of teleport being as it isn't as useful in 3v3 and made for for 5v5.
Thanks Dylan! :)

Team Work

Team Work is key to being a successful LeBlanc too!

Of course the reason your looking at this guide is to become better hopefully :)
So learning to work with your team as her is very important.
First of all your MUST remember that you are very squishy so when in a team fight or fighting with anyone on your team you will most likely be in the back of the group or coming in after the tanks and beefier champions on your team. Your no good to your team if your dead so don't run in and get killed right away. Just wait you will get your chance let your tanks go first and hook the enemies to them and than engage on their DPS, AD, AP, or whatever player your team decides to focus first. Team work is very key! If you wait and than unleash the results will end very will.

However there are always those teams who seem to be fairly smart (but don't tell them that!) and will attack you and your other major damage dealers like DPS and AP's first in a team fight. If this is happening try to stay by your tanks and beefier teammates. Most likely they will have a type of taunt or stun to keep them off you and give you time to get off the damage you need to. Every team is different! Take time to Adjust to them and work well don't fight or argue it never gets anything done! :)

!TEAM WORK IS KEY!
