Why Nocturne Is Beast
THIS IS MY FIRST GUIDE SO DON'T HATE TOO MUCH. Hello I'm a long time Nocturne Main and I just want to share in my opinion the best way to play Nocturne or at least the way that suited me. BE AWARE- To play Nocturne to his fullest potential you must have high reflexes and very good awareness. Now I want to take a moment to list why Nocturne is beast;
1: He has very high early damage, follow potential and sustain
2: Spellshield nuff said
3: One of the best 1v1 champions in the game
4: Great champion for roaming
5: Can be played Mid,Top or Jungle
6: High escape potential
The Laning Phase of dreams
When you start off no matter who you are against you want to first try and land your Q and get an auto attack on them after that they should be scared of you and play alot safer, which gives you easy farming and if they start to play aggressive again, do the same. Then there comes lvl 3, at this point depending on how you are going you should have your vamp scepter and now you can go all out and as soon as you are at the middle of your lane and you hit your q, then instantly use E, there is a high chance they will use cc or some damage spell to try and throw you off, but then you use your spellshield (W) to cancel it and keep chasing till you're under tower. At this point there is a high chance they will use flash to get away which means you can rinse and repeat this method. And if you get ganked the best thing to do is q away and use the speed to escape and use W to block any CC.
Time to become Legendary
By now you should have your main damage items (Ravenous Hydra, Statik Shiv and Youmous Ghostblade in that order) now you can start dominating the game, when you get hydra and shiv you can start roaming to mid (or roaming to top depending on which lane you're in), KEEP IN MIND that when you roam you must land Q on your target or else its a no go. The main engage strategy is to Ult in and Q then E and use W to block CC or damage spells and then they should be dead. At this point you should have a few kills and you can 1v1 anyone you want.
Easy and difficult at the same time time to master 1v1ing with Nocturne. When facing someone like Lee Sin or Jax etc that rely on one ability make sure you make them waste it on your spellshield or dodge it using Nocturne's high mobility then once its gone you can now utterly destroy them by using the Q - E combo to Fear and kill them but if they do flash away you always have ult to chase them. Also you want to save ult if you're going to 1v1 someone till they start to run, then you can finish them and secure the kill(s).
Nocturne and his Subjects (Teamfights)
Main strategy for Teamfighting is just the usual assassin technique, to focus the carries and then after you get rid of them you can kill the rest of them, that's how I got my Nocturne Pentas. When teamfighting you want to Ult on to the main carry AFTER your team has engaged then Q - E then and be ready to spellshield any ability that might stop you from killing your target. After that you can start focusing other members of the team even the tanks because you can shred them at this point, but always go for the carries.
