MBR is a very powerful end-game item with no real reliance on who you get it on. You make a good point about leaving the damage to the carries, but Leona's damage is just very poor. I do plan on editing the guide so that I show MBR is an optional item since it is a bit unorthodox to get on Tanks. You are right in that health is an important item to get on tanks though. With SF cape and bveil Leona actually receives a huge boost to her health stats. Going Warmog's would mean she may have to go with an entirely different core however. Also late Warmog's is not especially powerful either.

If you are looking for a little more damage. then Trinity Force I believe is your best option. Plus the utility of it is incredible.
I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say that Trinity Force is the best single item in the game.
You are right about the late warmogs. It would change her core entirely if you got that.
I just prefer the health on Leona after a certain point because she is one of the few champs in the game, like Nasus, who can take bring her stats to ridiculous levels by a well timed and placed ability. We're talking almost 4k health with the right items, and MR, Armor soft cap.
That's delicious. And that's why I like the idea of you getting a damage item seeing as theres nothing else for you to really do once you hit those numbers. I just disagree in the MBR being the item. I like Lightdn's idea of trinity force though.

EDIT: Also, +1 =]

First thing I thought when I looked at the guide, not gonna lie.
However, your explanations make sense. One problem though, the bloodrazor. I like the idea of being able to deal out damage as well as having a little boost to armor, but I feel like, as a tank, you could have a better purpose item here. Something that stacks health, like a Warmogs, because with your W and your runes and previous items you should be around armor and magic resist soft cap. Leaving you with the option of stacking health. Leave the damage to your carrys! That's their job anyway.

Nice looking guide though! I'll try it before I give it a vote. But I just wanted to make my point about the Bloodrazor. =]

I recommend Triforce on her highly

Plan to include it later. Trinity is mostly like a replacement to MBR depending on preference. It doesn't bring any real damage to the table, but the stat boosts and the slow/sheen proc is powerful.

My item build looks a little bit funky, but one has to bear with me while I explain why.
