Update

Okej, i got so much bad replies on the frozen heart, that i decided to delete it.

I am not a big fan of stacking more Attack speed or damage, since this is not really adding something to neither the gameplay, nor the diversity of the guide. So i decided to supply you with an other alternative rather than the armor + slowing attack speed.

Tiamat gives you 50% splash damage and 50 AD, which is nice for the 2000 gold it costs. Try it out, the splash is quite fun. I suggest you take a sanguine blade instead of entrype with this, lifesteal and splash make you a better teamkiller than the current build, which is mainly single target dps.

Introduction

This guide will help you get on the go with one of the greatest champions of the league: King tryndamere.

This guide is not going into more detail than globally build and his do`s and don`ts. So no pictures of the map with arrows of run here, go there, but just how you will turn him into an immortal killing machine.

Champion spotlight

Champion spotlight:
About tryndamere (wiki)
Tryndamere's abilities don't have any cost related to them, therefore the use of his abilities is only limited by cooldowns. Instead he uses Fury as his secondary bar. Tryndamere starts with 0 Fury, and has a cap of 100 Fury. He gains 5 Fury per autoattack, plus 5 extra Fury per critical strike and 10 extra Fury per any unit he kills. When out of combat for 10 seconds, Tryndamere loses 5 Fury every second.

- spinning Slash can be used to go through walls if they aren't very thick.
- Undying Rage can be used when CC'd, including suppressions (Infinite Duress, Nether Grasp, Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverser or Impale).

Runes

His runes are simple. Crit and destroy. With two times crit in the runes, you have about 20% critchance to start with, combined with his good attack speed, it results in high early game damage when given the chance to stay on a target, without going over the 100% critchance too much late game, giving you maximal endgame item-benefits. There are really no other options than crit and speed, for these two stats match perfectly with his abilities.

Masteries

Don`t care, never will: put it in damage and a bit in defense or a bit in utility if you die a lot. It won`t make that much of a difference.

Items

Tryndamere builds on high movementspeed, attack speed and critical hits.

With this said, you will also want armor against other melee.

Therefor you take the items that give this the most as fast as possible.. In dominion you will face a lot of other melee champions who might try to nuke you harder. That is why the thornmail is really a must for every champion, so also for tryndamere. With frozen heart It gives you 270 endgame armor and reflecting damage is nice as well. The last item is up to you. Take a counter item, if you die a lot, take guardian, do enemies get away take frozen mallet and so on and so forth.

One extra nice thing is Tiamat. Hardly ever do people use it, but when the enemy stays in group, it is a great item. It will do insane areal damage around your target, making tryndanmere all of a sudden a teamnuker instead of a single target dps.

Summoner Spells

Very easy, speed is everything in dominion. Outrunning champions for points and kills is just what the whole map is about. No need to explain the use of ghost in a map where there is a denser jungle than zimbabwe.

UPDATE:
after due considderation, Garrison is the next best spell. i didn`t realise it, but i always take it to gank people out of towers.

Summary

You use trynda in a team. Never run around alone, only if you are defending a point or see a really tasty kill (teemo, you go down bro). Any support/tank combines really well with him, especially if they can stun, taunt or bash (udyr, rammus, alistar). With that support in mind, a bit of teamplay can make you an invincible due. A reminder for any champion: play for point and not for kills. This might be hard when the lust for blood is in your heart, but trust me: it`s not worth it.

Pros / Cons

Tryndamere has a lot of very strong up and down sides:

+ Tryndamere can kill any melee: with thorns and frozen heart he can take an extreme beating from AD and if needed his ulti will save him.
+ Tryndamere can take a point from every single enemy. With the slow and slash and his ulti, no enemy will get away.
+ Tryndamere has great damage output, better than most other melee champions
+ Tryndamere can slow and slash, making him a good chaser to hunt down fleeing champions
+ Tryndamere can break an enemy team in a teamfight. Since the map is small this effect will kick in much harder than on normal maps where there are more smaller fights

- Tryndamere is melee and very vulnerable to slow and ranged enemies
- Tryndamere has to rely on his ultimate to kick in, which means he can only be a useful pusher once every while
- Tryndamere has no real CC spells, making him not only vulnerable to enemies who do have them (jax, udyr, etc), but this also means he has to let enemies escape more often. (entropy is a great help though)

Team Work

Tryndamere is a good initiater, so don`t be afraid to take a hit or two. Rely on your teammates to help you and it will be a great match.

Try to hunt down enemy ranged and mages, for with this build you can reach them in a blink of an eye. With slash, ghost and entropy you can reach an enemy before he can react and stay on him when he tries to run.

Don`t think you are a solo champion, nobody is in dominion, this does not exclude the barbarian king.
