Pros/Cons

Pros:
- Amazing CC (Can disrupt a whole team with her combo).
- Amazing dmg support ( Sunlight makes your team overpowered).
- Everlasting (Her Eclipse skill makes her hard to kill).
- Ganker ( Zenith Blade from the bushes?)
- Female tank !! lol

Cons:
- Bad Farmer (Specially early game).
- So-So base movement speed.

Skills

Sunlight (Passive): Leona's abilities mark the target with sunlight. Allied champions that damage marked targets deal additional damage and consume the mark.

This is an awesome passive, it makes whenever you land a skill on a enemy target marked ,allowing your team to damage the marked target for a bonus magic dmg (It works really nice early game).

Shield of Daybreak (Q): Leona charges her shield with the power of the sun causing her next melee attack to deal additional damage and briefly stun the target.

Low cooldown stun at max level, this skill makes you the perfect *****, it's hella anoying for the enemy team, and gives you the ability to harrass well at early game (Stun+marked+ally burst+maybe ignite=first blood).

Eclipse (W): Leona raises her shield granting her additional Armor and Magic Resistance for 3 seconds. When the effect ends she deals area of effect damage and increases the duration of the defensive bonuses by 3 seconds if she damages an enemy.

This will make you indestructible for 3 seconds (6 if you hit a target), giving you a armor and magic resist buff, really good for tanking.

Zenith Blade (E): Leona throws a blade of sunlight that deals damage to all enemies in a line. Leona teleports to the last enemy champion hit by this attack.

Perfect to chase and get to the enemy's team carry. Really good for a gank, it positions you to the center of a team fight allowing you to disrupt their carries and other threats to your team. (Also it locks up the enemy it hits for the duration of the animation after landing).

Solar Flare Ultimate (R): After a brief delay, Leona calls down a beam of solar energy dealing damage and slowing enemies. Enemies in the center of the beam are stunned instead of slowed.

Really usefull in teamfights. Makes a nice AOE that slows all the targets in range, if they are in the very center of the skill it stuns them instead. It also has a really long range. All gathered? Ultimate. Flash to get away? Ultimate. No chance to escape.

Summoner Spells

Personally I like and , it makes you to be in all fights, getting all assists, you can Flash + Shield of Daybreak if your Zenith Blade is in cooldown and allows you to scape easily from danger.

Early Game

Start with a Regrowth Pendant and a Health Potion. Try to lane with a heavy burst dmg or a good DPS, Heavy CC works too.
You can Harrass at lvl 1, but it's recommended to do it at lvl 3 with your 3 skills, allowing to mark the target 3 times and gives you a really high chance of first blood if your laning partner is aware of that, a heavy burst dmg champ or a DPS can literally take anyone with your combo.

After you gathered some gold, go back and get Philosopher's Stone ASAP, then port back to keep grinding your exp and gold.

Last but not least, when you have enough gold, go grab your Heart of Gold and Boots.

Remember to ALWAYS buy Sight Ward, Health Potion, Mana Potion in that order when you have some extra gold after buying core items.

Mid Game

This is getting good. You got some farily good assists, your gold per level items are raising up + the gold per lvl mastery.

Time to finish your Mercury's Treads.

This is where the team fights begins, you destroyed your enemy's lane tower and you are ready to go for some real action.

Try to always initiate, aiming their carry and try to always CC on him/her, do not let him/her breath or move.
Use your ultimate only in this situations (Order of priority):
- If all of them are gathered in one spot.
- If one or more of the oposing team members are about to nuke your carries.
- If an enemy flashed away and really wants to escape (If it's a carry and your team is able to kill him).

Go back, grab your Warden's Mail and Force of Nature.

If you have some gold left, start building your Trinity Force, starting ALWAYS with Sheen, this item gives you some AP as well as some mana (Don't forget about it's passive).

Late Game

You have your Defense and Magic Resist buffed up, you rock at saving your team's ***es.
It's time for moar Leona.

Go ahead and finish your Shurelya's Battlesong and Randuin's Omen, place them in your whatever hotkeys you often use and get ready to start putting fear on the enemy's team.

Remember always to tank, not to chase for kills, your job is to protect everyone ***es and disrupt their carries.

If you reached this point you will be tanking really good, making them to retreat and commit mistakes in team fights.

Always tell your team to follow you, you must move quickly, never overxtend pushing if they all are mia, move always by the bushes, buy wards... ALOT, this makes you be in the whole map with your Teleport ability.

Damn, the enemy is really heavy that they won't give up? time to finish your build.
- If the enemy is Heavy Magic-based, grab Banshee's Veil.
- If the enemy is Heavy DPS-based, grab Frozen Heart.
- If they enemy is well balanced, grab Guardian Angel.
- If your team is owning and you don't even die, have fun with an AP item if you like, my suggestion is Rabadon's Deathcap or Zhonya's Hourglass.
