WARNING: These masteries are still using the old tree and have not been updated to the new tree by the guide author. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
First of all, i am
beautiful very beautiful, but my English is not the best ( and this is my first Guide I ever made)
Let's start with my name :D
My summoner name is "LordBlattsalat" and i am playing on EUW. I have more than 703 wins and 612 losses (atm).
This guide is recommended for Caitlyn Solo Top! I know it sounds a bit weird for many of you, but try this out and you will see a new side of Caitlyn.
Please do not vote if you did not try this out and if you have some ideas which would make this guide better, e.g. item build and runes, say it to me instead of down voting :)

Note: This is not a In-Depth Guide about Caitlyn. Don't expect that I am explaining every detail about her. You should at least know the basics of Caitlyn and of course last-hitting and warding, etc.
Caitlyn Solo Top? WTF?!?
Caitlyn is pretty good as solo laner, but she is very enemy dependent. What I am trying to say is, that Caitlyn is very week against some champions.
Note: I played against above listed champions many times and some made my lane phase like a hell and some just fed me. It depends on how good your enemy can play and how good you can play.
Ok, now i will answer your question, "why, for gods sake, you play Caitlyn as a solo top char!?!?!?111?14?". My answer: "Because I can" [insert troll face here]
Nah, just kidding. She is just great at solo top and it makes really fun to play her on that position. It's really different to the bottom lane and you have to change your play style.
Caitlyn is one of the biggest bad *** bullies ever. She can harass very well with her 650 auto attack range and she is freakin' untouchable with her free wards ( Yordle Snap Trap) and her escape/slow skill ( 90 Caliber Net) . Do you remember your college days, where you got beaten up by a big bully? Imagine 10 of them + Godzilla³+ nice boobs and you will get a Caitlyn. She is just an amazing character and really fun to play :)
But the best thing is, that your team will have you as an additional carry and this makes your team so strong at late game!

(Solo Top is quite more difficult)
My rune build is pretty easy to explain. It gives you flat AD and both magic resistance and armor.
Greater Mark of Attack Damage: This will give you more power especially in early game. This will make your harasment stronger and will force your enemy to buy armor very early.
Greater Seal of Armor, Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: This will give you both, armor and magic resistance. I take those runes, because I am only playing normal and not draft mode and so it doesn't matter much if my enemy takes an AP or AD champ ;)
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: It's like the Greater Mark Of Strenght, but way stronger and will also makes your auto attacks more powerful.
Of course you can feel free and take those runes, which you think are more useful and you would prefer. You are not forced to take these runes I mentioned.
Other good rune choices:
Greater Seal of Health
Greater Mark Of Desolation
Greater Quintessence Of Desolation
As you can see, I start with Boots of Speed and 3 Health Potion. It will give you more speed and you can harass your opponent way better, if he doesn't have started with shoes. As second item i go for a Wriggle's Lantern for more lane sustain and a bit more damage. Life steal is the best point of Wriggle's Lantern in my opinion. After this I get Berserker's Greaves. Those mentioned items should be always the same.
Your next item depends on your opponent. If your enemy is building much armor you should buy Last Whisper as your first big item. If your enemy is doing heavy magic damage like Vladimir or Rumble your next item should be Maw of Malmortius.
Infinity Edge, Phantom Dancer and The Bloodthirster are just normal Carry items. These items will maximize your damage. If you think you get focused a lot you can buy Guardian Angel or Banshee's Veil. I did not mention them on the Item Purchase section, because I never needed any defensive item. Your Team will have you Caitlyn as carry and your bottom lane carry and it will be hard for the opponent team to focus both. So , you or the other carry can go for full damage without any defensive item :)
You probably heard it way to many times: Farming is most important in this game.
Having a good farm means having much gold. That also means that you can snowball into the late game and you are able to carry your team, which is your aim as Caitlyn. Melee minions give more gold than ranged minions. Siege minions give even more gold than melee creeps, but super minions give the same amount like siege creeps. Try to last hit all minions, but if you are farming under your tower and you are not able to farm all creeps prioritize melee creeps, because they give more gold. If you are last hitting with your abilities,try not to get below 120 mana that you are stilla able to use ( 90 Caliber Net). With your Greater Mark of Attack Damage you are able to farm much easier because you deal more damage.
Here are some facts about minion( I got these informations from the league of legends wiki site)
Melee Minion: Melee Minions charge directly against the enemy. Three spawn each wave with a new wave spawning every 30 seconds. Melee Minions have more health than caster minions.
Caster Minion: Caster Minions attack enemies from a range by firing bolts of energy that are the same color as their teams. Three spawn each wave with a new wave spawning every 30 seconds. Caster Minions deal more damage than melee minions.
Siege Minion: Siege minions attack enemies from a range as well. They recieve only 50% damage from towers, which make them perfect for tanking towers with. One spawns every three waves until 35 minutes in game, at which point one spawns every two waves. Siege minions have more health than melee minions.
Super Minion: One Super Minion is spawned each wave in place of the Siege Minion once the enemy lane's inhibitor is down. Super Minions, just like Siege Minions, take 50% damage from turrets. Two spawn per wave in each lane when all enemy inhibitors are destroyed. They are much stronger than any available type of minion.
