Nicks lulu hybrid carry guide


Hi there and welcome to my guide this is a guide to build lulu as a DPS. Utilising all of her abilities and mechanics will enable her to take down almost any champion in her path.
Played as a carry with the cc and sustain of a support a duo bottom lane nightmare.

*** This is not a support guide as said its aimed as a carry do not take and follow this guide with intent on laning with a carry, you need the cs take with a tank or a support ***

Summoner Spells:

SURGE: I believe Surge is once of the most underestimated spells in the game its not viable on all champs but where lulu is concerned its perfect. After using it enlarges the size of your champ and gives them a boost to there attack speed and ability power win win.

FLASH: Flash the summoners best friend one of the most used spells in the game, and the reasons are obvious. It grants you the ability to instantly close a gap whether that’s to leap a wall to escape an enemy, to chase down someone or even to dodge that all important skill shot (Ashe arrow, Shen taunt, Blitzcranks rocket grab... etc)

Other summoner spells to consider. All are very viable summoners to run with lulu, switch out surge depending on your team. If you take tele/heal don’t forget to swap the mastery point so you receive the added bonuses.

Ignite: It gives you a nice bit of extra damage if you are laning against teams with a lot of cc this will be more effective as the bonuses you get from surge wont be felt as you are stunned/kited. Summoners wrath will also give you more ability power when this is on cd.

Exhaust: Another great spell use it mainly when playing v's a carry and support the exhaust will shut their carry down and leave you free to dps. Also very effective in fleeing and chasing situations.

Teleport: If you go solo top take Teleport this gives instant map movement so when that all important dragon fight kicks of don’t leave your team to fight 4v5. Also viable mid or laning bottom enables you to save towers push/prevent pushes in lanes.

Heal: Summoners heal is becoming popular again, especially for a carry to take bottom. It heals everyone around you and heals you for an increased amount. Very good at baiting. Good in that sticky situation when you face check a bush and realise there’s 2 people stood in there =) Also good late game as in team fights the heal will give all 5 of your guys more life could be the difference between 0 for 5 or 5 for 0

My masteries explained, running lulu on a 30 0 0 build... "30 0 0" i hear you shout, yes this build is geared as a high end dps. Run as a carry play safe, stay behind your tanks. Your items will make up for your lack in defence and catalist will give you the extra mana for sustain in lane so yes dps dps dps.

For my runes i have gone for a magic/armour penetration and attack speed set up this is to maximise her damage heavily early game. While the magic/armour pen will carry you through to late game

For starting items I normally take boots and 3 health pots for added move ability and sustain early game. Following my build will give you constant sustain and damage thorough the game from mana, health, ability power, attack speed and damage. I know its a little expensive but, as you will be playing as a carry you will have a fair amount of creep kills

Every time you attack pix also attacks your target with homing missiles (can be blocked) with my build focusing on ad/ap/attack speed pix fires like a machine gun enabling you to nuke down squishy champions fast and when in team fight lots of they will hit other champions but this will generally aid your team.

To maximise lulu's damage potential glitter lance is maxed first. It is a hard skill shot to master but it gives you the ability to shoot 2 skill shots in a very wide range of angles don’t forget if you have help pix on an enemy/ally the second skill shot will shoot from them not you. So this gives you a massive range and a very nice poke. Placing Help pix on a there caster minions then firing the glitter the shot fired from pix well be behind there minions already and enabling you to damage them without putting yourself in any danger.

This ability has 2 effects depending if you place it on an ally or enemy. When placing it on ally it buffs them giving them a shield and pix follows there attacks instead of yours (with your passive) this can be viable in situations when supporting/saving an ally but the loss of your passive for this period hurts your damage. (Don’t be a troll and don’t use it on an ally if needed)
Using help pix on an enemy gives you the increased range on glitterlance, the vision it grants and the damage over time.

Is a very fun ability and extremely useful. The added ranks increase the ability power given to the friendly target or increases the time enemy are polymorph. Therefore I put one point in it at level 3 and max it last. The polymorph effect only silences and prevents the champion for attacking/casting any spells. It DOES NOT prevent them from moving so don’t expect to stop there jungler in their tracks it will just delay it for 1 second it should be used to prevent damage being taken and to speed up your team mates and in later game put it on a ap champ and watch them thank you.

This ability can be very useful when fleeing, chasing and during team fights. Its great for baiting, casting in on a melee bruiser/tank will slow all champs around your target as well as the initial knock up if you have a lot of cc from items like randuins omen or champions like lee sin sejuani etc then even casting this on yourself will grant you more ad (from atmas) as well as nearly 4k life being a nice target for there team its going to be hard to remove you.
