Introduction

This guide is made purely for around 90% of the lux players in the LoL community, as I've seen so many bad Lux that it's shaming the name of her. Not only that, Lux is always under-rated because of the fact people just cannot play her right. If you are a lux player, I recommend strongly that you take a look!

This guide is not for people who gives up easily =(

Runes

For the runes, you can see it's more focused on flat AP in the beginning of the game. Lux can be, and should be a harasser right in the beginning, and it is important that you get that first kill most of the time, especially in mid. With Doran's ring, you will have 39 AP at lvl 1, which really deals a lot of damage to squishy carries. Just throw your E at your enemy consistently, make sure you do not miss. The mana regen rune is to help you a bit throughout the game on your already-low mana, since AP lux do not have much mana pool, you will find those runes helpful. Mana penetration on Mark is a no brainer.

Masteries

I chose the "typical" 9 0 21 built. Not much to say about it....

Items

For the item, start off with a doran's ring because it gives you maximum efficiency in lane, especially solo lane. You get 15AP and 5 per 5 sec mana regen, this will help you stay in lane without having to worry about running out of mana (considering that you are using your skills efficiently and correctly). The extra 100 health helps more or less, and since lux has a long range, you really don't have to worry about health issues. You should be able to stay out of range of most heroes most of the time.

After the boot I rush the kage's dagger for some additional AP, but mainly for the early income in the beginning, and knowing I'm going to built it into a Death Fire Grasp as well. Then I go straight for Deathcap ASAP, as lux you need around 180 AP right during early-mid game to be able to carry, try to get it around 18-20 min. If you get that, you should be 1 shot-ing the mage creeps, and owning the squishy enemy heroes.

With DeathCap, farming becomes a lot easier. Then get the sorcerer's boot and finish Deathfire Grasp. By this time you and your team should be owning, and later gears are all just extra.

PS. I think SoulSteal can be a good choice (if you can survive really well), but overall I tend to not lean toward "unstable" items. Since you can either own or be owned using SS, so I prefer a more "safe" built if you would call it. I do get SS from time to time when I noticed I'm owning a lot, so it really depends. For starters on lux, I do not recommend SS.

Summoner Spells

Clairvoyance and Flash, no exceptions.

There's a reason why I titled "Art of Snipers".

As a mid lux ( which you always should), pay attention to side lanes after you've reached lvl 6. When you see the enemy with low health running back to their tower to recall thinking they are safe... start running to the river, and make sure you close the distance. THEN CV!!! the enemy hears the sound...confused...then 1 sec later they see a red line...then their screen turns black and white :). And you're a happy lux.

You should always be popping CD on dragon and jungles to check and try to steal it if the enemy is getting it. Use it for team fight purposes as well. In general, I think CV is a really great skill, I use it on many characters.

Flash is just great on all characters, given the fact you know how to use it right! :D
