Introduction

This strategy works best if you are soloing in a lane. By maxing your Lucent spell early in the game you can place it in strategic areas to slow an enemy Hero when ganking, saving an ally, or running from the enemy, while still being able to pack a punch with good magic damage and buff that is applied afterward. One skill point into Barrier can save you from some sticky situations in the early game if you are ganked. Her slow, bind, shield and flash should make you able to survive easily in the early game and it is also easy to farm with her Area of Effect Lucent skill. You will be far superior than your opponents in level and total gold revenue by the time the game gets to be about 20minutes long. This strategy and item build also works great if you love to kill and show no mercy.

Runes

- For obvious reasons, if you want to deal huge amounts of magic damage if doesn't work on enemies with high magic resistance so you have to blast your way through it.

- For a good amount of armor in early game. Doesn't matter much late game because you shouldn't be taking much damage later on if you are playing properly.

- For shorter cool-downs on spells so you can cast them more frequently in later game play where you need to constantly cast to survive and kill your enemies.

- Same reason as the Greater Marks of Insight.

Masteries

These Masteries are chosen for more magic penetration and shorter cool-downs for both the hero and summoner spells. Good Hands is pointless for this build because you shouldn't die! Expanded Mind is great because the larger your mana pool is, the more Ability Power you get from your Archangel's Staff and generally have more mana to dispose of onto your enemies. Utility Master is also great for when you get a Blue Golem Buff you can have it for an extended period of time and make more use of it with the reduced cool-downs and sufficient amount of mana regeneration.

Items

Meki Pendant is the best starting item for mana using hero in my opinion followed by a Health Potion. After farming enough gold, push the lane hard to the enemies tower and teleport back to your base to finish your Tear of the Goddess and purchase a pair of boots. Now you are gaining max mana whenever you cast spells and this will help you out currently and later on in the game. Then continue to farm and gank when need be to get as much gold as quickly as possible. You should complete your items in this order Sorcerer's Shoes Rabadon's Deathcap and finsh the Archangel's Staff. If you are getting killed first of all you don't know how to play Lux but if you are having trouble staying in fights and have to escape get the Abyssal Scepter for some added magic resistance against other casters while still gaining Ability Power and lowering enemy Magic Resistance. But if you are not having trouble then just get the Void Staff before the Abyssal Scepter for added Magic Penetration. A final item would be another Archangel's Staff. Once again if you want to play a little more on the safe side rather than just decimate the opposing team you can get a Rod of Ages instead of one of the Archangel's Staffs.

Summoner Spells

Flash is used for escaping sticky situations not so much for engaging but you can really do what you want with it.

Clairvoyance is used for vision obviously and used for escaping ganks and such if you know how to maneuver properly and also can be used for blasting enemies with your Ultimate spell Finales Funkeln Finales Funkeln that are normally out of your range of sight.

Farming

By level 4 Lucent Singularity you will be able to farm all 3 ranged creeps with 1 normal attack. After you have bursted the lucent on the creeps and then they gain a buff which will deal bonus magic damage to the minion and you will kill them in one hit after wards. So you get about 60gold per wave no matter what, plus whatever skill you have to get the last hits on the other minions.

Pros / Cons

Extra Commentary

Please post feedback and such. I love to argue my points even when I may be wrong in a fact. Thanks for reading the guide and I hope it was helpful in at least a small sense.
