@Redeux

I completely understand you skill order and I get where you are coming from. However, for my play style I need the damage in lane to force back enemies/zone better. The shield is very important if you are playing full support but, I tend to like to shift into support late game where the damage from Lux is really in the pokes she has. I like to abuse the AP Carry she is early game before shifting gears for later phases in the game.

The level 1 argument is probably something I could incorporate into to the guide because it is very situational. I too grab E first if we're invading jungle and are lacking cv...etc. It is a situational call you have to make but I've experienced Q to be more useful for aggressive lvl 1 play, esp if you have a lane partner. It gives me an added feeling of security also if I know I can be aggressive and Q+ Flash out of danger.

You have quite a few interesting points that I think Ill experiment / incorporate into my build order.

I would like to suggest rearranging your skill ordering though. We can debate about taking Q or E at level one and I guess thats just a matter of preference. I personally open E because it is harder for your enemy to dodge (making it easier to harass) and because it can also be used as a free scout to check bushes which means avoiding any early ganks. Q cant be used to the same effect because if there is only one opponent in the bush it will shoot through and appear as though no one was there. Again, I guess its just a matter of preference. I never intend to spike/kill someone at level 1 so Id rather harass/play defensively until level 2.

Regardless of what you open, however, I still think your skill order could be improved on. Q has its max stun at level 1 and essentially has no benefit to your build other than a slight increase to DPS. Again, this goes to personal style, but starting at level 4 when I put my first point into W, I start holding W secondary to E. I personally prefer having more utility in team fights with a stronger shield and a slightly increased damage Q. The way many luxs end up building is setting up W as their last skill to invest in which I consider a mistake. By level 14 there are going to be team fights and having a 60 + 30% AP shield is essentially useless in a teamfight where hundreds of damage is going out. This is also notably significant because your build has a 0 AP boost until your 3200g mark when you buy a large rod. Meaning, any early team fight youll be solely relying on that 60hp shield to save your teammates. Again, I personally just choose to lose that extra damage so I can help my teammates survive but its all a matter of personal preference I suppose. Your Q still stuns for 2 seconds and your shield is stronger.

Consider:
Singularity: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Lightbinding: 2, 14, 15, 17, 18
Barrier: 4, 8, 10, 12, 13
Finale: 6, 11, 16
