Choose Champion Build:

  • LoL Champion: Shaco
  • LoL Champion: Shaco

Introduction

Most people these days decide to jungle with Shaco. However, I think that because of that, they forgot or disliked laning with Shaco. That is all about to change, for I am about to introduce to you a build that I have used for many games as Shaco. It has never failed me, so i hope that it won't fail you as long as you follow the directions. By the way, my summoner name is acrhOrigin and i spelled my name wrong... Please comment and everything because this is my first guide. Thx

Farming

Shaco is not a good farmer don't try it. However, he will be able to kill most minions very easily, so it could count.

Runes

I chose these runes from playing without runes. I figured that against tanks, I would need some extra armor penetration, so I put it in there. Then, I noticed that I was mana hungry, so I put clarity runes in there. Lastly, I noticed that my abilities were good, but took too long to cooldown, so I put those runes in there. I don't even have the runes yet, so don't mention how I know it will work.

Masteries

The Masteries are one of my hardest decisions. I basically used my Caitlyn build's masteries which revolve around AD. Shaco also needs the extra time of buffs.

Items

The items were something that I made up one game as Shaco. I started playing, but it was a whole year since I had quit, so i had to make a build and fast. Then I just got the Greaves, and when i became successful in killing the enemy with just the Greaves, I bought the Sword of the Occult. I loved how the stacks just kept stacking and gave me the speed boost. From then on, my build was created even though I never have enough time or money in the game to get the Infinity Edge.

Build 2 has some changes because of a suggestion that somebody made...

Summoner Spells

I don't have much to say about this. It's just a regular spell combo. even though Shaco has Deceive, he needs to escape when it's on cooldown, so there is Flash. When Shaco is chasing, he needs to be fast so he has Ghost. It is basically an escaping spell as well and Flash is an offensive spell too.

Skill Sequence

The skill sequence may be a little off, but please try to understand the correct sequence. The first thing that I always like to do is to max out the Two-Shiv Poison. I do this because after you max it out, you deal a lot of damage using its active, and you benefit greatly from its passive. I usually switch around between Deceive and it though, but i prefer putting most of the points on Two-Shiv first then Deceive. Of course, we have the ultimate which is good and to move only your clone you can hold Alt and Right click. Lastly, we have the JitB. If find this ability almost utterly useless because it deals almost no damage, costs too much mana, isn't very long lassting, and has a small effect. However, if needed, you can change the skilling around to suit your needs for ganking, backdorring, etc.

In-game Play

In the beginning, you should start off by hitting the enemy and running. You do this with Deceive and Two-Shiv Poison. You throw the shiv you port or run back. Repeat until they are low on health. You have the clarity runes for a reason. They are so that you aren't mana hungry that much. Otherwise, get the blue buff. Around level 6, start to gank. Continue laning and ganking for the mid game and late game, but never try to destroy turrets by yourself unless you are sure that you can escape quickly enough to live.
